Step Action Narration

1 Introduction & Title Slide Welcome to this tutorial


where you will learn how
to set up and use the
collaboration tool,
Padlet.

2 To access Padlet type the


URL,
https://padlet.com/auth
/login​. You can log in
with your Google or
Facebook account. If you
don’t have either
accounts, you can click
sign up. You will type
your email or choose a
username and a
password.

Fade to screen that says “The Padlet


Dashboard.”

3 Once you are logged in,


you will be directed to
your dashboard. On the
left side of the
dashboard you will find
some tools that can help
organize your Padlets. As
you see, you can click on
recently searched,
previously made, shared,
& liked Padlets. The
network tab allows you

Padlet.” The last tab is for paid
subscribers. Paid
subscribers can organize
their Padlets into
folders. Paid subscribers
also can create unlimited
Padlets. The free plan
allows users to create up
to 6.

4 At the top of the


dashboard you will see
Make a Padlet, Join a
Padlet, and Gallery. In
order to join a Padlet,
you must have the Padlet
URL. The Gallery allows
users to search for ideas.
Once you click on an
already-made Padlet in
the gallery, you have the
options to like, remake
or share it. However, if
you want to make your
own original Padlet, click
on Make a Padlet.

5 You will be directed to


several different styles
for your Padlet. As you
can see, you can set up
your Padlet as a Wall,
Canvas, Stream, Grid,
Shelf, & Backchannel.
The content and settings
are the same the layout
is just different
depending on your
preference.
6 If you would like some
inspiration, you can
check out the templates
that are below the
layouts.

7 For today’s purposes, we


are going to select the
Wall layout. You will
then be directed to
modify your Padlet. Here
you can add a title and
description. You can
search and choose a
wallpaper background.
You can then change the
post color (either Doctor
Light or Dark Knight),
font style, and icon.

8 Before finalizing your


Padlet, you will have to
change your posting and
collaboration
preferences. You can
choose these preferences
based on your needs.
9 Once you have
entered/changed your
preferences, you will
then click next in the
upper right corner. You
will be directed to the
People and Privacy page.
You can then decide your
privacy settings and
share the Padlet with
other contributors. Click
next and your Padlet will
be finalized and people
can start collaborating
on your wall.
