ABSTRACT

Cicret Bracelet

The Cicret Bracelet can project a touchscreen onto your arm, making it possible for you to
easily access and work your apps without having to take out your phone. The Cicret Bracelet
uses a Pico projector to project your phone’s screen onto your arm, and it’s equipped with
eight proximity sensors which makes it possible for the bracelet to detect your finger position
whilst you control the device. This futuristic gadget that will be available in 10 colours also
features its own processor, storage, vibration feedback, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity, and of
course the earlier mentioned sensors and projector.
The Cicret bracelet is like a tablet. . . but on your skin. The users are wearing a thin plastic
wrist band and simply flick their wrist to summon forth an Android touch-screen surface on
their forearm. Ostensibly, a projector is creating this image and a set of eight proximity sensors
along the wrist band create the touch interface. The wrist band is loaded with unseen electronic
components that give it all the functionality of a smartwatch and more.
Chapter 1

INTRODUCTION

We are living in a world where the security of data has the upmost priority of all. The world
around us is evolving each and every single minute. Social networking is the powerful aspect
now. People want their life to be easy and needs a smooth movement towards the future.
The developers took this into account to create the next revolution technology – CICRET.
CICRET is the developed based on the cloud technology. Cicret is the technology of the
future. Cicret consists of 2 parts. 1 is the application part and the other is a wearable bracelet.
The Cicret App is the only intuitive, secure and free solution for those who want to chat, share
and exchange safely with no chance of being traceable. The app is an innovative encrypted
technology providing anonymity and full control on all contents you have shared, even after
sending them. It allows you to give all your personal information always with you, on your
arm. The idea came from the opinion that the cloud system is not safe and there is no other
place to protect your digital privacy than yourself. Cicret is the next level technology that’s
easy to adapt to human environment and it would make Google Glass a primitive technology
in the year 2015 when its expected to be released.
Remember all those cool futuristic gadgets we used to see in some of the Scifi movies (like
Minority Report for example)? Not to get too philosophical, but just judging by the gadgets
that keeps popping up like mushrooms around us these days,it’s becoming more apparent that
‘The Future Is Now’. There has been many recent additions to the wearable technology market.
I have to say, this one is by far the most unique one yet.
Mobile competitors are rising higher; each and every day new mobiles are launched by a
different vendor. Many people Google hundred times before buying a best featured mobile.
Android mobile marketing is going higher which forces the technology to move on with the
new invention. A hard weighed device’s touch screen is going to replace with the skin. We are
talking about the new invention which is expected to launch after 2019,this project is named
as the “CICRET”. This is the bracelet which projects the light on the arm and human skin is
used as the touch screen to provide the easy interface to the user.

With the transformation of intelligent technologies, many manufacturers began to look for
markets and apply smart concepts and technologies to various fields. Under this circumstance,
the wearable market has recently undergone a brand-new change and has designed an absolutely
irresistible product—Cicret Projection Smart band. It is not only a projection, but also a smart
product, it sounds very cool, aren’t you looking forward to this bracelet?
It is a smart bracelet that lets you directly control smart devices on the skin. To be more
precise, it is to project smart devices on your arms so that you can directly control them with
your hands. Didn’t it sound cool? Cicret is a projection bracelet that turns the skin of the arm
into a screen that can be touched on the skin through projection and position sensors. Cicret
has a built-in miniature projection device that projects the screen onto the user’s arm. Just
turn your wrist to turn the screen on and off and work directly on the skin.
Cicret has 8 sensors inside to detect the user’s touch on the screen. Cicret has built-
in processors, flash memory, vibration motors, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, sensors and
projectors, and it can be used independently without a mobile phone, making it very convenient.

Figure 1.1: Cicret Bracelet

Even more exciting, the most powerful feature of Cicret bracelets is its security concealment.
For those who want to chat, share, communicate, etc. privately, without wanting any traces,
the Cicret application is the only intuitive, secure, and free solution. This application is an
innovative encryption technology that can perform anonymous operations. Even if you have
already sent out, you can completely control all the shared content.

Figure 1.2: Cicret App Use

This product can define the storage time of the contents of the outbox, and remotely mod-
ify or delete the information you have sent.Cicret can communicate with anyone in any way,
pictures, videos, audio, documents, notes and more. And with Cicret you can transfer files
stored on your computer remotely to your smartphone; only the person you gave ID Cicret can
contact you and vice versa. When sending a message, you can set when the contact will receive
the message, such as 5 days later.
In this blitz era of smart products, major wearable industry manufacturers have launched
their smart wearable devices, of which Cicret can project the bracelet with its projection tech-
nology to attract everyone’s attention. Can project the picture on the wrist, and can be
operated intelligently directly on the skin, super convenient, cool, there is a feeling of movie
plot to reproduce!
Cicret comes to the light as the new invention that’s going to take place after few years

History

3.1 What is Cicret Bracelet ?

The Cicret Bracelet can project a touchscreen onto your arm, making it possible for you to easily
access and work your apps without having to take out your phone. It’s called “CICRET”, a
spook on “SECRET”.”With the Cicret Bracelet, you can make your skin your new touchscreen,”
says the Cicret team on its website. ”Read your mails, play your favorite games, answer your
calls, check the weather, find your way... Do whatever you want on your arm”.

Figure 3.1: Cicret Bracelet

While leaders in smartphone technologies Apple and Samsung are touting ionstrengthened
glass screens and 4K displays on their devices, a group of four visionaries believe the next
revolution is about to happen on the user’s own skin.
A four-man team from France has come up with the idea for a bracelet that can be used to
turn the wearer’s arm into a smartphone screen. While the bracelet is still in its concept stage,
the team already has a name for it. The Cicret bracelet, a slim wristband that resembles the
Jawbone Up, projects images into the skin of the wearer using a picoprojector and has a line
of eight sensors that detects where the user places his finger.

RCPIT, Shirpur CHAPTER 3. HISTORY

3.2 Who are the founders of Cicret?

At the beginning, four guys who believed in a crazy idea they are

• Guillaume Pommier, Incharge of concept, Marketing and Finance/press relations.

• Fabien Noblet, Incharge of technology and market.

• Pascal Pommier, Incharge of technology ,Software and Stratogy.

• Nicolus Cruchon, Incharge of design,Web marketing.

• Joe O’Sullivan, Managing Partner And Business Development.

• Patricia Grace, Supply Chain And Operations.

The company which owns the Cicret bracelet is CN2P SAS, registered in France at La
Grande Arche Paroi Nord Puteaux , 92044 Paris La Defense Cedex. This company has been
created in December 2014.The CEO of this company is M. Pascal Pommier. Pascal is in charge
of Technology, Software and Strategy. The rest of the team is composed by Guillaume Pommier,
in charge of Sales, Marketing and PR.Nicolas Cruchon, Incharge of Creative Marketing. And
Fabien Noblet, Incharge of Technology and Hardware.
This company owns the patents that protect the concept and the technologies of the Ci-
cret bracelet. Pommier says Cicret has opened its own Indiegogo campaign earlier this year.
Cicret tried to raise 500,000 to fund its project, but Pommier says the team decided to close
the campaign after lukewarm response because they would not be able to deliver pre-ordered
prototypes if they were unable to reach their half-a-million-dollar goal.
A promotional video made for Cicret, which has amassed nearly 4 million views on YouTube,
shows the bracelet, if it ever becomes a real product, in action. With a simple twist of the wrist,
users can turn on Cicret which is connected to a mobile device via the Cicret app, also still in
development. The video shows users swiping, tapping and pinching the skin on their forearms
to read emails, play games and view maps as well as take a call on their connected smartphone
by tapping their forearm to turn on the speaker phone features. Apparently, the bracelet is also
going to be waterproof, as the video shows one user checking his email while taking a bath.

They have successfully:

• managed a motion sensing system on the forearm to work.

• distorted the picture from the pico projector.

• put these two key features all together and sourced all the miniatures needed.

and skills to produce a working sample of the Bracelet. Thanksto this collaboration, they now
have 2 quotes with the timeline, dates of productionand detailed costs in order to create the
first working samples. they will be able tolaunch the presales and start the delivery of the
Cicret Bracelet.
Two ex-Apple employees are in our executive team. Thanks to their skills and expertise they
are of great help in getting the best components like the pico projector and solve all industrial
issues.

The CICRET bracelet is the aggregation of many components:

5.1.1 Accelerometer
Accelerometers are used to detect and monitor vibration in rotating machinery. Accelerometers
are used in tablet computers and digital cameras so that images on screens are always displayed
upright. Accelerometers are used in drones for flight stabilisation. In smart phones the display
gets tilted automatically to adjust to users view due to the working of the accelerometer. In
CICRET, when the bracelet is shook twice, it gets activated and when shooked again puts it
in a sleep mode.

5.1.2 Memory Card

A memory card or flash card is an electronic flash memory data storage device used for storing
digital information. These are commonly used in many electronic devices, including digital
cameras, mobile phones, laptop computers, MP3 playersand video game consoles, Tablets.

5.1.3 Micro USB Port

CICRET bracelet has a micro USB port to connect to the system for data transfer between the
system and the bracelet. Exchange of information’s could include images, music, document.

5.1.4 WIFI Components

The wifi component enables connection between the smart phone and the CICRET bracelet as
long as there is an internet connection available for the two devices.

5.1.5 Proximity Sensor (Long Range)

Is a sensor able to detect the presence of nearby objects without any physical contact. A
proximity sensor often emits an electromagnetic field or a beam of electromagnetic radiation
(infrared, for instance), and looks for changes in the field or return signal. The object being
sensed is often referred to as the proximity sensor’s target. Different proximity sensor targets
demand different sensors. The picoprojector projects the interface to our arm. When you place
your finger on your interface, it stops one of the 8 long range PROXIMITY SENSOR. The
SENSOR sends back the information to the processor place in the CICRET bracelet.

5.1.6 Bluetooth
When internet connection is unavailable the CICRET app and bracelet can be connected via
Bluetooth and also the Bluetooth can be used to exchange data/information to other devices.

5.1.7 LCD
The LED is used to show notifications and is used to show the working of a process.

5.1.8 Snap Button

The snap button is a power switch that turns the CICRET bracelet on and off.

5.1.9 PicoProjector
It’s technology that applies the use of an image projector in an handheld device. It is a
response to the emergence/development of compact portable devices such as mobile phones,
personal digital assistants, and digital cameras, which have sufficient storage capacity to handle
presentation materials but little space to accommodate an attached display screen. Handheld
projectors involve miniaturized hardware and software that can project digital images onto any
nearby viewing surface.

Working And Operation

6.1 How the cicret bracelet works ?

The Cicret Bracelet uses a Pico projector to project your phone’s screen onto your arm, and
it’s equipped with eight proximity sensors which makes it possible for the bracelet to detect
your finger position whilst you control the device. It will use a tiny Pico projector and eight
miniature proximity sensors to replicate an image of your device.
It comes with a row of eight proximity sensors pointing towards the user’s forearm. When
we place our finger, the long-range proximity sensor intercepts your movements, sending the
information back to the processor (in your Cicret Bracelet).

6.2 How To Operate It ?

Just twist your wrist and your device turns into a Smartphone . It’s a Prototype
model. We can Read mails, play favorite games, answer calls, check the weather, find way... Do
whatever we want on our arm. we can turn ON Cicret which is connected to a mobile device
via the Cicret app. It connect threw WIFI or Bluetooth. It could operate as a standalone
device and can also be paired with your existing smartphone. This means, users can perform all
functions using a large screen display without the need to pull out their phones. You will even
be able to answer the phone with a flick of your wrist.

6.3 Working
The working of CICRET could be explained in 5 steps.
1. Download CICRET
2. ID Generation
3. AES Key Generation
4. RSA Key Generation
5. Encrypted Communication
These 5 steps are explained in detail below to fully understand the proper working of the
CICRET.

6.3.1 Download Cicret

The CICRET application is available on android play store. Downloading and installation
process is as easy as any app.

6.3.2 ID Generation
As the app gets started for the first time, it asks for user password. When the user password
is entered and is recognized as the key.

6.3.3 AES Key Generation

The AES stands for Advanced Encryption Standard. This standard was established by the US
NIST(National Institute of Standards and Technologies). AES is based on Rjindael Cipher. In
CICRET,we use AES-256 encryption. The AES 256 has the following peculiarities:
• Key Length : 8
• Block Size : 32 Bytes
• Number of Rounds : 14
AES-256 means that there could be 2256 possible keys. A PC that uses 255 keys per second
needs 149 billion years to break AES 256.

A single round in AES-256 consist of 4 stages.

1. Sub-Bytes Transformation
2. Shift Row
3. Mix Columns
4. Add Round Key

19 “Cicret Bracelet”
RCPIT, Shirpur CHAPTER 6. WORKING AND OPERATION

The AES algorithm operations are performed on a two dimension array of bytes called
States.

Figure 6.3: AES Algorithm States

AES Encryption:

Figure 6.4: AES Encryption

20 “Cicret Bracelet”
RCPIT, Shirpur CHAPTER 6. WORKING AND OPERATION

The 6.4 figure shows the encryption of the AES 128. Here plain text of 128 bits are copied
to a 4x4 bytes matrix states. A key of M bytes are expanded and added with the states. Based
on the type of AES used, here we use AES-128, we perform 10 rounds of encryption. Where
each round would perform the 4 stages (as mentioned above) based on the number of rounds.
The number of rounds are based on the type of AES used.

• AES-128 : 10 Rounds

• AES-256 : 14 Rounds

Figure 6.5: AES Key Expansion

As in the figure 6.5 showed above, the AES key is expanded each round and is added during the
stage – Add Round Key. W represents the word and the parameters specify the word number.

STAGE 1 :Add Round Key :

In this method, the key is added with the state S to produce a new state S’.

Figure 6.7: Add Round key

22 “Cicret Bracelet”
RCPIT, Shirpur CHAPTER 6. WORKING AND OPERATION

STAGE 2 :Sub-Byte Transformation :

Figure 6.8: Sub-Byte Transformation

In Sub-Byte Transformation, byte by byte transformation takes place.

Each byte in S(row, column) is transformed to S’(row, column) using S-Box Table.
The S-Box Table diagram is shown below.

Figure 6.9: Rijandael S-Box Table

In the table above we can see that the hexadecimal 53 is replaced with ED.
The figure belows provides a bit more detailed understanding about Sub Byte
Transformation.

RCPIT, Shirpur CHAPTER 6. WORKING AND OPERATION

Figure 6.10: Byte Transformation

STAGE 3 :Shift Row :

Here in this method, circular left shift happens based on the row number.

Figure 6.11: Shift Row

STAGE 4 :Mix Column :

In this method the matrix is multiplied with a column and the result is stored in another column
in S’.

Figure 6.12: Mix Column

24 “Cicret Bracelet”
RCPIT, Shirpur CHAPTER 6. WORKING AND OPERATION

In AES-256 encryption each method is executed 14 rounds one by one to complete the en-
cryption. To decrypt the content we need the same key and we need to inverse the encryption
process. Decryption without the key is practically impossible.
The example for AES encryption is shown below:

Figure 6.13: AES Encryption Example

Here we can see that the message: “GOOD MORNING” is encrypted with the key – 123
and the encrypted message generated based on its algorithm is:

/gxCvp1k7zQYnYV7MnBoLG1EjxOmLw7cUVrVxUdwQu8=

6.3.4 RSA Key Generation

RSA is stands for the names of the 3 persons who designed it :Rivest, Shamir, Adleman. RSA is
the first public key cryptosystem and is widely in use for secure data transmission. RSA follows
asymmetric cryptography, which means that we use 2 keys for encryption and decryption.
The 2 keys are:

1. Public Key

2. Private Key

A Public Key which may be known by anybody, can be used to encrypt messages and to verify
signatures. The private key is known only to the recipient to decrypt the message and create sig-
natures.
Digital Signature :

Characteristics

With wearables gaining some traction, smartphones and tablets are by no means the only
mobile devices around nowadays. Now, though, Cicret is looking to take things a step farther
and turn your arm into a smartphone.

7.1 Key Features of the Cicret :

• The band is waterproof and can be used as a standalone device or along with the Smart-
phone.

• We can send and receive email, browse the web and play games.

• Cicret Bracelet will allow you to access almost all the functions from your arm without
holding the gadget every time.

• It would be so much easier being able to walk around without having to carry my big
chunky smartphone (which is honestly the size of a brick) along with me. I can just leave
it in my bag, and get all I need to get done via the Cicret Bracelet.

• For ladies, we won’t have to worry about ‘missing a call because our phone was on silent
and in the bag’ or having to take out our laptops or phones every time we need to send
an email or a message. It would all be right there on our wrist, at our convenience.

• It will also be possible for users to pair it with an existing smartphone, answer incoming
phone calls and activate the speakerphone functionality on their smartphone.

• Flick, swipe, pinch and zoom functionality will be supported along with tap to text.

28
RCPIT, Shirpur CHAPTER 7. CHARACTERISTICS

Figure 7.1: Features of the Cicret Bracelet

The younger generation expressed mainly one genuine concern, “So will everyone be able to
see what I do online? It looks like it’s hard to hide if you want to type a message in private!”
.For that reason the cicret team created a Cicret app. The Cicret App, is a simple messaging
service that gives you a free and secure chat solution, for those who want to chat, share, and
exchange safely without being traceable. This technology provides anonymity and full control
on all contents you have shared, even after you have sent them. Meaning, all your messages can
be edited even after you have sent it. So now, pressing that ‘Send’ button won’t be as stressful
as it used to be!
There are potential advantages to turning ordinary objects (or, in this case, limbs) into
mobile devices, but projected touch screens typically lack the responsiveness and visual clarity
of the glass screens we’re used to. It should be interesting to see if the Cicret Bracelet can
improve on the technology, to make something we’d actually want to use. The device will allow
users to send and receive emails, browse the web and play games. It will also be possible for
users to pair it with an existing smartphone, answer incoming phone calls and activate the
speakerphone functionality on their smartphone.

7.2 Limitations :
• Low battery service

• Connectivity
