6. LOADING
When the surveyors arrived onboard at 0820hrs, the yacht was alongside the vessel presented
for loading and the cradles were hooked to the cranes with forward section of the cradle in the
water ready for positioning on the yacht.
The forward cradle was positioned on the yacht to the satisfaction of the loading master at
1055hrs. At 1150hrs, the aft section of the cradle was positioned. Yacht and cradle were lifted
clear of the water to confirm correct positioning of the vessel on the cradle.
Cradle positions were marked on the yacht at the gunwale and on the hull above the water
level. Operation to position the cradle was assisted by divers to make sure the yacht was
seated correctly.
Yacht crew were onboard the yacht handling the slings and cradle while positioning it. Yacht
crew disembarked from the yacht when the cradles were positioned and she was ready to be
lifted.
The cradles were positioned on the marks except that the aft cradle was marginally shifted to
forward.

7. LASHING AND SECURING ONBOARD.
Once the yacht with cradle was placed onboard, gaps between the cradle bedding and the yacht hull
were caulked with Wooden wedges to spread the load accordingly.
These gaps on the cradle were created by slight mis-alignments while positioning the yacht and cradle.
Two wooden towers were rigged at forward of the cradles under the keel. Lashings were done by using
chains, soft slings, tension levers, etc.
The cradle was secured to the hatch covers with chains and stoppers were welded to hatch covers on
port and starboard side of the cradle.
Lashings, upon completion, were inspected and certified by Centurion Surveyors.

8. PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION
The yacht hull and decks appear to be in pristine condition. The above water hull plating shows no
scratch marks or damages of any kind.
Hull below waterline shows paint was peeled off at some points due to age, wear and tear. Rust
formation sighted at the hull aft, below the machineries probably due to effects of heat from machineries.
27th February, prior to sailing, stains were observed on the poop deck. Same stain marks were not
visible when she was loaded onboard. It appears that these stains may have been from a previous spill
or garbage/ropes kept there just before lifting the vessel onboard. These marks may have appeared
once the decks start drying.
