mathematics curriculum from other countries.
Discuss the chronological development of the primary school mathematics syllabus in
Malaysia after the second world war until today. Support your discussions with relevant
references.
Problem solving, as underlined in the Malaysian Primary Mathematics Curriculum, is the
main focus in the teaching and learning of mathematics. Explain why problem solving is
