Instructions to Load Oglaend S3D Library

1. Introduction
• All Parts and Assemblies need to work with V2014R1 or higher of S3D. For best
results you have to install the latest Hot Fix. Contact Intergraph Support for more
information on Hot Fixes or visit the Intergraph eCustomer site. 

• DLL‘s to be delivered in Symbol share Server S3D machine that will be placing
these Parts and Assemblies. 

• The XLS files can be placed in any folder; the ones used below are the S3D defaults. 

Step 1: Register dlls through ProjectManagement

• Copy the following dll’s from “Oglaend Supports Deployment Package\To


Existing Catalog\Dlls” folder to
<SymbolShare>\Bin\HangersAndSupports\Symbols\ Release folder 

o HS_OglaendParts.dll

Note : If you get a message box stating that there is already a file with same name, just click on “Copy and
Replace” to replace the old file with new file.

• Update the dll’s through the Project Management environment. Go to Project


Management and select the Catalog database as shown below.
• Go to Tools->Update Custom Symbol Configuration

• It gives the following message which indicates that all the newly placed dll's are
updated successfully.
• Click OK.

Step 2: Copy the Symbol Icons


• Copy all the files from “Oglaend Supports Deployment Package\To Existing
Catalog\Symbol Icons\HS_S3DParts_Oglaend” folder and Paste into
<SymbolShare>\Data\HangersAndSupports\ PartImages\ HS_S3DParts_Oglaend

Note : If you get a message box stating that there is already a file with same
name, just click on “Copy and Replace” to replace the old file with new file.

Step 3: Bulkload Excel Workbooks for Catalog

• Make sure that the following Base BulkLoad xls files in


“Smart3D\3D\CatalogData\BulkLoad\Datafiles” are already bulkloaded.

o AllCodeLists.xls
o AllCommon.xls
o GenericNamingRules.xls
o HS_System.xls
o HS_System_Codelist.xls
o HS_S3DAssy_Codelist.xls
o HS_S3DParts.xls
o HS_S3DParts_Codelist.xls

• BulkLoad Using “Add, modify, or delete records in existing catalog”

o Add the following excel file from “Oglaend Supports Deployment


Package\To Existing Catalog\Excel Workbooks\AMD” under “Excel
files” location in the bulkload tool.

▪ AMD_HS_Oglaend_Parts

o Add the following excel files from “Oglaend Supports Deployment


Package\To Existing Catalog\Excel Workbooks\AMD” under “Excel
codelist files” location in the bulkload tool.

▪ AMD_HS_S3DParts_Codelist

o Select “Add, modify, or delete records in existing catalog”


bulkload mode

Note : Ignore all warning errors after bulkload if any.
