During Spanish colonization, Christianity was introduced and homosexuality became prohibited. The asog were executed and the number of gender-crossers decreased. A patriarchal society emerged where men held power. 3. Under American and Japanese rule, a colorful gay language developed as homosexual men mixed English, Tagalog, Visayan, and Japanese terms to communicate with each other openly, despite discrimination.

METHODOLOGY

Research Design The study will utilize the Metapora ng Banga design of Prospero Covar. Based on a study, there is always one dating

applications (labas), the real meaning of the lexical values in gay dating applications (loob) and the reason of creating this language in
a specific social media platform (lalim).
Respondents The study will gather information for 50 Filipino homosexuals and 50 heterosexuals enrolled in Polytechnic University of the
Philippines and since dating applications is on trend for straight genders and so-called third gender. This paper will use purposive
sampling technique since only those gays who are using dating applications is familiar to the language consider in Gay Dating
Applications.
Instrument A face-to-face and on site (Gay Dating Application) informal interview will conduct for this study to gather information. The
library technique and the use of Gay Dating Application Page and Websites online will also use to gather relevant data that will
support the findings of the study
Collection of Data An interview for male homosexual and heterosexual PUPians will be done. An interview questions to conduct the study in the
campus will be address to the research adviser. Immediately, interviews will begin to the respondents as soon as the interview
questions is approve.
Analysis of Data In analyzing the data, the gathered information from the respondents and from the websites and pages of gay dating
applications, will be process to run for discourse analysis. Furthermore, the narrative analysis will also incorporate to see if
homosexual men has the same interpretation in recognizing words from dating applications.
