1.0 INTRODUCTION
This section describe about the project and final edition of the project.
This project is based on our major course which is Special Education. In UPSI, they
provide two specialization in Special Education which is sign language and braille.
Most of Special Education student are in sign language specialization. In our class, we
are using Kod Tangan Bahasa Melayu (KTBM) book for guide us to master the sign
language and this book also being used in most of special education school.

1.2 Final Edition Of The Project
This is first interface for i-KTBM, at this interface can see that it have button, text,
picture, and audio. For the button it have start button and “I” button for information
about this courseware. Next, for the text this courseware using font Comic Sans MS and
its font size for the title is 115 pts and sub title font is 28 pts. For the picture at first
interface we use computer download from google, while picture sign language we took
from book “Kod Tangan Bahasa Melayu” and for the background we format
background at gradient fill colour blue and white. Lastly, for the audio, in this
courseware we use background song from youtube.

2.0 PROJECT MANAGEMENT
In i-KTBM we put some sign language tutorial in video and some activity to help people
understand the sign language. This product is the first series. In this first version, it
contain 3 topic of sign language that contain in the KTBM book. The idea of developing
the i-KTBM came out when there are certain problem occurred among the student of
UPSI that take the Special Education programme with sign language specialize. The
main problem is there are no digital KTBM that can show the actual signing. The student
just use KTBM book that contain sing language with poor graphic. The signing were
shown in graphic form but it was not clear that can lead to wrong signing. The lectrure,
Puan Noreha Yusof who teach the sing language subject also agreed that some time
student give the wrong sign because they did not understand the sign in the book.
It give us a bit of responsibility to make the sign language easier to learn because
we are the student among of Special Education degree programme student that have
taken the sing language subject. So,we have our experience on learning the sign
language. So we develop i-KTBM for student in special Education degree programme
that take sign language specialization. This i-KTBM was developed in UPSI within 14
week. We decided to use power point with hyperlink in developing the product because
it is easier for us as beginner developer. The product were design starting with
storyboard, determining the content and developing the product. We also test this
product to find the error. This product were also tested by the the user and the
questionnaire about the product were given to evaluate the product before published.
This product also compatible to all windows as long as they have power point in their
computer. This i-KTBM will be in interactive CD form so student can use it in the
laptop during the classes.

2.2 Time
The process of developing i-KTBM takes time for 11 weeks. For the first week, we try
the mock courseware to get feedback of it function. After that, based on the feedback,
we develop mock idea and do the assessment.
Based on the outcome of the assessment, we develop the final idea which is
finishing the final idea to develop i-KTBM. After we finished, the final idea been
evaluated. All of it on second week. Next, we produce page or the courseware template.
It takes time almost two weeks which is week 3 and week 4.
For the week 5 and 6, we insert basic content such as the button, hyperlink, few
theme and sound. We evaluate the progress on week 7. Once we gain the feedback, we
refine the appearance and content of i-KTBM on week 8 then we finished content on
week 9.
On week 10, we validate the courseware and make an error removal the
unwanted thing in the courseware. We do the final evaluation on week 11 to our target
user.

2.3 Labour (Man Power)
To make sure the courseware finished on time, we discuss to divide the task among us.
The person in charge and the task can be see on the table below.

3.0 SUMMARY
In summary will be explain about the problem encountered during the developing
process of the system, the solution to the problem, and our future hipe towards the
system.
During developing the system, the main problem that we have faced is the low skill of
teammates. As we were not from multimedia background, we were lack skill in coding,
programming and software skill. We are struggling to develop the system as planned
because we did not have any coding and programming skill. We tried to use certain tool
such as Adobe Flash but because lact of skill, we even don’t know how to navigate the
button to the next stage.
We tried to use scratch in order to built the system but the result were very poor
because when we ran the system, th defniton of graphic became low and getting blur.
The animation used were also limited because lack of skill to arrange the block code of
Scratch. Besides, we also facing the problem of lack of tools. In our courseware, we
plan to put the high quality video so it will lead to best experience in using our system
to learn sign language. But, we do not have any good camera such as DSLR Canon or
NICON. We just recorded the video using the phone camera with high definition setting.
In order to solve the problem faced during developing the system, we trying to act out
of box. Because we are lack of skill in using the tools such as adobe Flash, we decided
to use powerpoint that we implemented our skill that we have learn. We optimized the
usage of animation and function of powerpoint to make it real as we have plan. We used
hyperlink in powerpoint and animation to make it more interesting.

Besides, we also edited the video by using video editor to make the definition
of the video became clearer. We enhance the video and setup the brightness of the video
using video editor. We also used sound recorder from android phone and record the
sound so the speech audio will became clearer compare to the actual sound that have
recorded in the video.
In the future, we hope that we can develop next version of i-KTBM with more input in
it. We will put more sign that will be helpful to the junior student to learn sign language.
We also hope that we can improve our skill in developing the system so we can develop
a better system for sign language. We hope that our system that we have developed will
give benefits to other.
