Deo Tibba (6001m) is a peak


well known among the mountaineers around the world. This rustic and exquisite
Expedition offers a serene and splendid feel that will simply spellbound the
Trekkers. Deo Tibba Expedition is one such trip that will give you a thrilling
opportunity to experience trekking as well as mountaineering over a period of 13
days. In addition to introducing you to these extreme adventure activities, this
expedition will also endow you with the skills required to undertake such
expeditions. Deo Tibba expedition starts and ends in Manali and is suitable for
those adventurers who have previous trekking and climbing experience and also
knowledge of snow, ice and mountaineering techniques.

Expedition Duration: 10 Nights | 11 Days


Difficulty level: Challenging | Technical
ITINERARY:

DAY 1: Manali to Chikka (10,000 ft.). Transfer by vehicle from your hotel to the
road head at Khanol and from there, an easy trek to Chikka.

DAY 2: Chikka to Seri (12,200 ft.). Today’s trail will be a gradual steep climb of
about 7 kms. Overnight camping at Seri.

DAY 3: Seri to Tainta/Chota Chandertal (Basecamp – 14,500 ft.). This trek involves
an initial ascent through alpine meadows and later on some moraine along a
stream to reach Tainta. Overnight camping there.

DAY 4: Rest/Acclimatization Day. Today the participants will be given a hands-on


Crash course on Basic climbing techniques. Load Ferry to be done today too.

DAY 5: Basecamp to Duhangan Col (17,000 ft.). Straight ascent up to the


Duhangan Col to set up our Advance Basecamp.

DAY 6: Duhangan Col to Advance Basecamp 1 (17,200 ft.).

NOTE:

After today the itinerary will be totally flexible as we’ll either try to summit Deo
Tibba from ABC-1 or else move up to setup ABC-2 depending upon the weather
conditions and how the team and participants are performing.

DAY 7 – DAY 9: Summit Attempt (Movement will be between Duhangan Col


(17,000 ft.) and Deo Tibba summit (19,700 ft.)). The route is steep throughout and
many a times climbers will have to negotiate deep crevasses, steep glaciers and
gullies. This will be your ultimate test as you attempt to reach the zenith. From
this point, the climbers will get better view of Deo Tibba and its neighbor
Indrasan.

DAY 10: Duhangan Col to Seri.


DAY 11: Seri/Chikka to Manali.

Descending down from the Deo Tibba Summit (6001m) on extreme top left.
TOTAL PACKAGE COST: INR 55,000/- Per person (For a minimum of 4 people in a
single group)

Cost includes:

 All camping equipment during the Expedition including tent, sleeping bag &
mat
 All transportation as per the itinerary
 Meals during the trek (vegetarian)
 Services of a Professional mountain guide and his assistant
 Porters and Horses charges
 Charges for the Cook and Helpers
 Fuel, Kerosene, Butane Cylinder and Stove
 Climbing Equipment, Fixed rope, Ice Piton, Rock Piton, Snow Stag,
Carabiner, Ice axe, Gaiter, Helmet, Seat Harness, Jummar
 GST of 5%

Cost does not include:

 Personal clothing and gears required for climbing by the participants


 Tips, laundry, phone calls, mineral water, cold drinks, camera fee etc.

 Any medical expenses, if incurred
 Travel Insurance
 Personal and incidental expenses
 Expenses incurred due to delay in the schedule for reasons beyond the
control of organizers
