Aim of the Centre

• To bring together multidisciplinary students, research scholars, and faculty with the expertise to
bring fresh thinking and collaboration to meet the new challenges within our institution.

• Act as a focus for statistical activity within our institute

Functional Units

1. Organizing statistics courses


2. Data Analytic
3. Statistical Consultancy to corporate office

UNIT I: TRAINING UNIT


1. Training of Trainers
a. Assist different departments/ disciplines for framing syllabus with respect to statistics
courses
b. Training the concerned faculty in Statistics with suitable software
2. Short courses
This unit will offer short courses to internal as well as external users for example.

• Statistical Methods– Basic and Advanced


• Statistical Survey Methodology
• Six Sigma, Big Data Analytics
• Data Mining and Digital Marketing
• Sampling methods and Techniques

On specific request from any division/department, training programmes/short courses will also be
conducted.

UNIT II: DATA ANALYTIC UNIT

a. Offering Statistical services within and outside our Institute

• Data Analysis and Interpretation Facility

Unit II is the main part of the Centre. Any research problem can be converted into a statistical problem
and solution can be found if the problem and objectives are explained properly.

Data analysis will be done and suitable help will be provided in interpreting the output of statistical data
analysis on payment basis.
UNIT III: CONSULTANCY UNIT
. The following services will also be provided for project works of corporate organizations

• Grant Writing
• Designing Questionnaires
• Survey Methodology
• Data Analysis
• Interpretation
• Report writing

Users
• The internal users are undergraduate and postgraduate students, research scholars and faculty of
all discipline of our institution.
• External users are public and private commercial bodies and organizations.
