Formula of Vrms and VDC

This document provides formulas to calculate the root mean square (RMS) and average values for several common waveform types including sine waves, full and half rectified waves, sine waves with DC offset, half sine waves, positive square waves, saw tooth waves, and trapezoidal waves. The formulas use peak voltage (Vpk), frequency (f), duration (T), base segment (B), and DC offset (Vdc) as variables to determine the RMS and average voltages for each waveform.

In the table, we use the units of Volts, however, the formulas work with any units.

and base segment B. f*Vpk*((T+B)/2)

This calculator will compute the RMS and average for some of the most common
periodic waveforms.
