About Me: Where Do U See Yourself 5 Years Down The Line

This document provides biographical information about Mateo Albán, a 21-year-old electronics and telecommunications engineering student from Popayan, Colombia. It states that he is in his 8th semester of study and part of a research group called GRIAL focused on radio and wireless technologies. Currently, he is researching remote management of the university transmitter using USRP. For the future, he is interested in quantum signal processing and pursuing a master's degree in antennas and radiopropagation or microelectronics. The document also lists some of Mateo's personal interests and attributes.

ABOUT ME

I am Mateo Albán, I am 21 years old, I am from Popayan, I am graduated from the industrial
technical institute I am a student of electronics and telecommunications engineering (nginíring), I
am studying eighth semester, I belong to the faculty research group called GRIAL, that research
about radio and wireless technologies, I am currently researching about USRP and I am in a project
related to the remote management of the university transmitter. To the future I would like to
research about quantum signal processing and radio technologies. Also, I would like to study a
master's degree in antennas and radiopropagation, or in microelectronics (maicroelectronics).

I like reading English literature like Shakerpeare or Orwell. Also, in my spare time I usually read
about the classical theory of electromagnetic fields and now I am in a relativity course on
YouTube. I also like to remember concepts of vector calculus, and see some demonstrations.

I am a responsible, respectful, friendly, cheerful person; I do not want to sound like a conceited
(concired) but I consider myself an intelligent person

CONTRIBUTE TO THE GROUP

I can contribute to the group with my attitudes and aptitudes,

I am a responsible, respectful, friendly, cheerful person; I do not want to sound like a conceited
(concired) but I consider myself an intelligent person

Furthermore, I have had good results throughout my university studies and I can say that I have
knowledge in electronics and communications that I can share with my colleagues, in addition to
that I like to generate a good environment of study and work. I believe that I am an insightful
(perspicaz) person and that I can make good decisions in stressful situations, besides(ademas), I
am a fairly(bastante) calm person.

ABOUT UNIVERSITIES
I was researching about good universities for undergraduate and postgrad in Electronics
Engineering and I found that the best ones according to QS were:
- Technical University of Munich that is member of TU9 (The TU9 is the alliance of nine leading
technical universities in Germany) this university has 17 Nobel laureates (loriets), 18 Leibniz
Prize winners and 22 IEEE (I triple E) Fellow Members, furthermore, they offer the DAAD
scholarship.
- KIT: Karlsruhe Institute of Technolology (Kals-hua) TU9
- Technical University of Berlin TU9
- University of Freiburg it was found 1457 is the fifth oldest university in Germany
- Technical University of Dresden TU9
- University of Bonn
- University of Stuttgart TU9

Other university that I consider that is important to visit is the RWTH Aachen (Aagn)
WHERE DO U SEE YOURSELF 5 YEARS DOWN THE LINE
In five years I see myself working for a microelectronics company abroad, and studying my
doctoral degree, continuing the master’s work.

I would like to study abroad, possibly in Germany, so I think that this is an opportunity to learn
about the panorama that this country offers for a postgraduate study there. I also want to enrich
my cultural knowledge to share it with the people around me.

ABOUT DAAD

1. Establish contacts and / or strengthen (fortalecer) existing links with these institutions.

2. Promote the acquisition and exchange of knowledge and experiences in the specific area of
training of the group of Colombian students and promote their interaction with German teachers
and students.

3. Know the infrastructure(infrastrucshur) of the German institutions visited (laboratories,

libraries, institutes of research, etc.) and gather information that guides the future realization of
masters or doctorates in Germany.

4. Know aspects of Germany's economic, political and cultural life, in the context of the specific
area of training of participants

Those interested should contact German universities and institutions that plan to visit and request
invitations confirming each of the activities planned in the travel schedule.

They give us 840 euros for trips and 50 euros a day for maintenance. We must make the itinerary
of the days we remain there. We must calculate the travel times. We can visit up to 5 to 7
institutions. We need an invitation letter from the institutions that we are going to visit.
