Ucsp Lesson

This document outlines a lesson plan on the influence of mass media on society. The objectives are for students to understand mass media's pervasive influence, especially on young people, analyze its dynamic relationship with other social institutions, and discuss how mass media has transformed in the age of globalization and the internet. The lesson will involve a survey on student internet use, a presentation and discussion of the survey results, a class discussion on topics like violence and consumerism in media. Students will then discuss how mass media shapes reality and relationships and how new technologies create opportunities but also inequalities.
