SCIVIVOR 2019
THE RULES & REGULATIONS
1. Each participant shall pay a registration fee (PHP 25.00) a week before the date selected which
is September 20, 2019.
2. The students may avail SCIVIVOR t-shirt with a price of PHP 200.00. The shirts will be worn on
the event, if the student chose not to avail, they can wear a plain black shirt as an alternative.
3. The event will be conducted on September 20, 2019 at exactly 7:30 AM and will end at 5:00 PM,
Also, the said program will use the large area of the school grounds as a different venues per
station.
4. Every team will come from different sections composed of 12-13 members that were distributed
by the Science Club Officers/Members (SCO/M) and approved by club adviser. In this set up they
will able to socialize with others and build their leadership skills while completing the tasks.
5. Each team will have their bandanas that represent their group color and letter (ex. RED A). Also,
they are tasked to create their own flag. If their flag and bandanas was caught by another group
they will have 50 point deduction.
6. Teams will complete every station created by SCO/M in 5-10 minutes. The stations are facilitated
by Science Club members and officers.
7. Stations were composed of physical, mental and social activities that can improve one’s personal
aspect.
8. The facilitators will mark the teams’ score in the range of 100-1000 based on their performance at
the given time. The figures below shows the levels of scoring:
1000 points - completed the task quickly
800 points – completed the task in several time
600 points – completed the task in much time
400 points –completed the task in more time
200 points –finished the task in given time
100 points – unable to finish the task
9. After completing the station zero to the final station, the scores will be computed accurately by the
facilitators. The computed points are final and irrevocable.
10. The awarding will be hold to recognize the winners of the following:
a) Best Yell
b) Most Competitive Team
c) Most Alive Team
d) Most Collaborative Team
e) Best Flag
f) The Ultimate SCIVIVOR
g) SCIVIVOR 1st Runner Up
h) SCIVIVOR 2nd Runner Up
i) SCIVIVOR 3rd Runner Up
11. The facilitators may add extra awards in involve individuals. Then, the certificate of recognition will
be given to the heads, participants, facilitators and school administrators that made the event
possible.
GAMES PER STATION
STATION 0
CATTERPILAR RACE
Venue: Harris Memorial College Basketball Court
Mechanics:
Each team will line up and place their legs on the person in front to make a caterpillar-like
body.
They will use their hands as replacement for the leg of caterpillar to move forward up to the
finish line.
If they complete the task, the team will able to get their SCIVIVOR card.
Materials Needed:
Vellum board with printed scoring sheet and station guide.

STATION 1
WALK IT, CRAWL IT, THINK LIT
Venue: Auditorium
Mechanics:
Each team will select six members to play.
The players will walk together inside the stitched sack bags to reach the starting point of the
next obstacle. They will guide the sack that resembles the mechanism of a wheel.
Upon reaching the next obstacle (Garters/ Straw Maze), they must get out of the wheeled sack
bags and crawl their way to the exit. However, the team still need to answer a question in able
for them to get out of the station.

STATION 2
WATER BENDER
Venue: At the back of the gym
Mechanics:
From the starting line, 5 members will hold the string attached on the paper plate with a cup full
of water in the middle
The players must balance the paper plate so that the water will not spill.
Once the time starts, they must walk until they reached the middle part of the obstacle
and pass it to their other teammates.
The other 5 players will walk until they reached the finish line.
The team will get a 100 points deduction if the water got spill.
If they completed the game, they will get 1000 points and if not 500 points.

STATION 3
IHIP TO WIN IT
Venue: Waiting Area in Front of the Gate
Mechanics:
Each members of the group needs to blow the flour and get the missing pieces behind.
After getting all the pieces, the group needs to arrange it to form the image.
They have only 5 minutes to perform the game and to get perfect 1000 score, they need to
complete the task.

STATION 4
SCIENCE STRUGGLE
Venue: Room 6 (SHS Building)
Mechanics:
Note:
There will be three representatives for each team who will play 3 games in a row.
The players must finish the first game before proceeding to the next game and respectively.
The team who will finish the task in the shorter time will win.
1ST GAME: THIS BLOWS
There will be sets of plastic cups in the table, the player will blow up a balloon then deflate it,
using the escaping air the player must knock down all the cups with just one blow.
If there is a cup that is still not knocked down, the players will start again.
2ND GAME: STACK ATTACK
In this game the player will create a pyramid of cups then once it is done, the player will stack it
diagonally from top to bottom, respectively.
Then, they will stack it again.
3RD GAME: TILT A CUP
Step 1: Bounce the ping pong ball on the floor then catch it using the stack of cups.
Step 2: Move the bottom cup to top.
Step 3: Repeat the process (step 1 ––› step 2)

STATION 5
MAGIC CARPET RIDE
Venue: Room 2 (SHS Building)
Mechanics:
Prior to game start, contestant is seated on the mat in the designated start zone with no body
parts directly touching the floor.
Once the game begins, the contestant may begin moving with the bathmat in the designated
“inchworm” manner.
Contestant may not make forward progress while touching the floor directly with any part of the
body.
If contestant’s foot or any other part of the body comes off the mat during the game, they must
immediately stop and place themselves correctly back on the mat before continuing the game.
To complete the game, a contestant must slalom the course to the end and back and the
bathmat must cross the start/finish line entirely with time limit.

STATION 6
LET ME FALL (VERSUS BATTLE)
Venue: Room 4 (SHS Building)
Mechanics:
Each group must select a team of three participants.
The facilitators will provide each team with two strings which have identical length and number
of ping pong balls.
In each group there will be three baskets that will serve as the Zones.
Two participants from each team will hold the two strings that will serve as a bridge while the
remaining member will have to place the ping pong ball on the string bridge.
The contestants will have to carefully shoot the ball on the basket. This will be repeated for the
next two baskets.
The first team to finish the task in 10 minutes or before 10 minutes will be the winner and their
group will be rewarded with 1000 points.
The losing group will be rewarded with 100 points.

STATION 7
WHAT TO DO?
Venue: Prayer Garden
Mechanics:
Three players on each team is needed in this game:
The first player will be the one to blow the balloons, second player will be the one to stand on a
certain position to pop the balloons, the third player will be the one to think of a way on how
they can pop the balloons without touching or blowing it.
The first one to pop the balloon will get an envelope which contains pieces of paper and they
need to identify the word in there that is based on the game.
The first one to pop and answer the jumbled letters win.

STATION 8
BOUNCE TO SHOOT
Venue: Stage
Mechanics:
The 8 selected players must throw the ping pong ball (the ball must bounce atleast 2),
The goal is to shoot ball to the cup that is 2 meters away from the player.
If the 1st player succeed to shoot the ball the next player will do the same and so on.

STATION 9
ROLL IT
Venue: First Floor (SHS Building)
Mechanics:
Questions will be given to the participants in which they need to answer.
The first one to answer will have a time advantage.
After answering the questions right, they will proceed on rolling the ball to get points.
Each hole in the fabric have designated letters (a, b, c, d) or points (+100, back to 0, etc.)
The first one to reach 1000 points will receive 1000 points while the other team will only get
what they have stored.

STATION 10
MAKE ME WET
Venue: In front of the Chapel
Mechanics:
Each team will be dividing their group into two.
The first team will be the team to fill up and pass the bucket of water.
The second team will be the team to balance the bucket of water.
Group A will be forming a straight line and be sitting facing front. The first person will be
passing the pail with water backwards and the last person will be putting it in the basin of the
group B.
Whereas, group B will be responsible of balancing the basin. Group B will lift the basin with
their feet as the game starts and will balance it for a minute when it’s full.
Note: Students are highly recommended to take off their shoes and socks.
RULES:
If the team spills the bucket, the team must start over.
If any team member uses his or her hands, the team must start over and will be given
deduction points.
No touching the buckets of other teams.

FINAL STATION
VOLLEY BALLOON
Venue: Harris Memorial College Basketball Court
Mechanics:
Each team will compete with the other group which have the same color of bandana they wear.
The members will hold the tip of a blanket. The blanket will serve as a big hand of a volleyball
player.
The balloon will resemble the volleyball ball.
They will pass the balloon to the other group until they make their 5 points. The rules of
volleyball was implemented in this game.
In the final game, the first team to get the 7 points will have the highest mark.
