Dear Sir:
We are submitting here with our research paper entitled Improvement and
Evaluation of an Automatic Clothesline System in partial fulfillment for the degree
Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology for the course of Method of Research II.
the contents of the study were gained through research and applying our knowledge
acquired for the semester from your time and effort of teaching us.
This manuscript contains studies and analysis about the design, development,
testing, evaluation, the socio-economic aspects, as well as technical aspects on how to
further improve the e.g.-testing, functionality, durability and performance and other scope
of parameters of the project.
We are hoping that our feasibility study had reached the demands and requirements of the
course. Any questions, suggestions, recommendations and correction are very much
appreciated.
Sincerely,
Signatures

ABSTRACT
Clotheslines are utilized to hang wet clothes for it to dry by exposing it under the
heat of the sun. For working people, it is hard to find time to have laundry day where
they’ll have to dedicate a one whole day to clean and watch it over until it gets dry, for
the weather is unpredictable sometimes, it changes from sunny to cloudy or rainy real-
quick. This project use CNC (Computer Numerical Control) a mechanical program that
will give instructions to conduct this system properly. This designed will introduce a
technique which will automatically move the clothes inside when it detected a rain and
move it again outside when the sun comes out. This parts needs AC (Alternate Current)
motor to convert electricity power into mechanical power for moving in and moving out
of all the clothes; LDR (Light Dependant Resistor) a sensor that will be used to detect
light intensity and Rain detector, that will be used to detect a coming rain. The drying-
time of the clothes will be setup using push button and it will automatically move the
clothes inside using AC motor when the drying– time is finished. It has a main control
unit to control the whole system.
Keywords: Alternating Current Motor, Computer Numerical Control, Light Dependant
Resistor, Rain Drop Sensor.
