Quantity For A Slab: Given Data

The document provides calculations to determine the quantity of materials needed for a concrete slab with dimensions of 1.93m length, 0.86m width, and 0.15m height using a grade of M20 concrete. It first calculates the wet and dry volume of the slab as 0.25m3 and 0.385m3 respectively. It then uses the dry volume and concrete grade ratios to determine that 2 bags (100kg) of cement, 0.105m3 (3.71cft) of sand, and 0.21m3 (7.42cft) of aggregate are required. A cross check verifies the total volume is equal to the dry volume.

QUANTITY FOR A SLAB

W: 0.86 m
L: 1.93 m
Given Data:
Length: 1.93 m, width: 0.86 m, Height: 0.15 m

Grade of Concrete: M20:1:1.5:3

Sum of Ratio= 1+1.5+3= 5.5

Dry Volume: 54%

Solution:
Wet Volume=L x W x H

=1.93x0.86x0.15

= 0.25 m3

Dry Volume= Wet Volume x 1.54

= 0.25 x 1.54

= 0.385 m3
