TASK: Develop a Sample Lesson Structure

Task:
Pick any component/topic from SMSCP Level 1 Course 1, 2, 3 or 4 and develop a
lesson structure according to the System Approach teaching idea based on a system
you know (Amatrol, Christiani, Festo, or any Real Life Example). Ideas for components:
capacitive or inductive sensor, double-acting cylinder, single-acting cylinder, DC
motor,…

 Form groups with 2 (3) instructors each.

 The presentation of the structure should take 10-15 minutes.
 You can present on any media you like (PowerPoint, Whiteboard, Flipchart, …)
All members of the group should have a clear role in the presentation.
 Present on Thursday, July 25

Before presenting the structure tell us:

 Prerequisites (What do the students already know?)
 Objectives (What should the student learn in this lesson(s) -> Job Profile)
 The Lesson (Which component/topic? How many lessons? Labs? …)

Present the structure you developed, including:

 How do you start the loop? Mechatronic System?
 What would you do, how do you teach?
 What do the students do? (How) Are they involved in the lesson?
What materials do you use? Which media? Handouts? Tasks?

 How do you close the loop?
