Priority Thrusts incorporating the 10-Point Agenda

J ustice, Peace & Order


Supporting the thrust of the law enforcement agencies and strictly enforcing laws, municipal
ordinances and other policies on public safety. Provision for support in the administration of
justice

U niversal Health Care


Provision to every Marihatagnon of the highest possible quality of health care that is accessible,
efficient, equitably distributed, adequately funded, fairly financed, and appropriately used by an
informed and empowered public

S ports Development
Provide clear and consistent processes for planning and development of new sports facilities and for
redevelopment of existing facilities.

T ourism Development
Formulation of a short term (three-year) action plan for priority actions to be undertaken to kick-start
sustainable tourism development, and preparation of several demonstration projects for pilot areas

I nfrastructure Development
Increase in investment in infrastructure through both the public and private sectors. In the private
sector, the strategy is to promote investment directly where feasible or through some form of public-
private partnership (PPP)

N atural Environment Protection


Preserving and developing its natural resources and strictly implementing environmental ordinances.
Initiate and coordinate necessary activities for the successful implementation of the clean and green
program in the barangays

C ommunity Involvement in Economic Development


Strengthening the partnership of the local government unit and stakeholders in the planning,
Implementing and monitoring of programs, projects and activities geared towards the
development of the local economy

A griculture, History, and Culture & Arts


Agro Industrial Development, intensifying production, strengthening market capacity and develop
support facilities

R evenue Generation and Livelihood Programs


Adopting viable economic policies and standards that will enhance local fiscal resource generation and
provide more investment and employment opportunities

E ducation and Technical Skills Development


Assistance and support to formal and non-formal education

S ocial Services Programs


Prioritizing the needs of the vulnerable and marginalized sector
