Introduction

The word “library” was originally drawn from the Latin term liber, which means books.
Libraries are much are much more than a place to read books and journals. Libraries also houses
advanced electronic resources, including the internet, digital library collection, remote access to
a wide range of technology and instruction. School libraries serve students from kindergarten to
Grade 12. School libraries are useful to students in finding and gathering information but there
can be problems to they have to face.

A library also plays an important role in enhancing a teacher's effectiveness and


classroom performance. It promotes individual and group learning, helps in developing students'
vocabulary, enhancing comprehension, developing the habit of silent reading and developing
problem-solving attitude among students.

The problems encountered/observed in the library are Book provisions. The lack of
adequate funds for public libraries has already been noted. Even if funds were forthcoming the
National Library and the local authorities would have difficulties in increasing the book stock for
public and private libraries. Staffing. The recognized degrees for a provincial or city librarian are
a Bachelor of Science in Education, a teacher librarianship qualification, the latter degrees being
generalist library qualifications. Unfortunately most of the 30 or so library schools in the
Philippines are in private institutions and offer teacher librarianship courses.

The purpose of the study are (1) Identify the different problems encountered by librarians
and students in library (2) Explain how it affects their studies and job (3) Interpret the data
gathered to come up a solution to in this study.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

This study aims to the problems encountered by students in using the library, and how
affects the students and teachers.

Specifically, this study will answer the following questions:


 How often do teachers and students use library in their school?
 How does the time management affected in searching the library
 EFFORT
 CONVENIENCE (PLACE)
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This study will be a great benefit for the following people:

Librarians. The result will provide the librarians some knowledge on how the program
will help them and the students save time. The given data will help to inform the librarians or
how the study will affect their work and time-management. It will also help them to locate, sort
and find books without any hassles.

Students. Students with lifelong learning skills and develops the imagination, enabling
them to live as responsible citizens, School libraries are places for learning are places for
learning and thinking. They play a key role in supporting and developing literacy and the
enjoyment of reading.

Teacher. Teacher promote greater amounts of reading, increasing reading frequency and
more diverse reading experiences among their students. Teacher support students learning in all
of the daily curriculum subjects. Teachers build an adequate collection of fiction and nonfiction
materials at enough different levels to accommodate the many interests and abilities of students
designing to check out books for take-home reading. Teachers increased vocabulary knowledge
helps students understand what they read, and reading comprehension is enhanced when students
understand the meaning of words.

School. This study will benefit the school in a way to know the problems encountered in
the school library. How it affects and the solution of what will the School do to improve their
school library.

Future. Future researchers can benefits in this study and used this as reference to gain
new information or knowledge.

SCOPE AND DELIMINATIONS

This study will focus on how to find solutions to solve the problems encountered by the
students in BEC when searching/finding books in the library through the use of a program.
Everyone but mostly the one who’s studying because once a student graduated with a degree nor
even the one who got lots knowledge and known. How to conduct the good manners and right
student everyone will benefit mostly to their family. If someone needs help that one student
before, can help those people who needs that person help, because that person has the knowledge
that can help everybody. The family, if that one person who study got a nice job his/her family
will benefit and for last the one who studied is the one who will benefit it more. This study will
be conducted in the Batangas Eastern Colleges. This study will be conducted from July 2019 up
to October 2019. It uses a Survey Research to crystalize the students’ behaviour when it comes
to library and the present the finding in an accurate way. With this kind of quantitative research,
we get the most accurate data to get a sense of behaviour with intense precision.
