The iCloud Activation Lock uses your Apple ID and password to secure your phone from

is​ ​only​ ​you​ ​who​ ​can​ ​bypass​ ​the​ ​activation​ ​lock​ ​by​ ​entering​ ​your​ ​iCloud​ ​credentials.

Also, the original phone user can remotely lock the device if the phone gets misplaced or

The​ ​Unlock​ ​Spector​ ​website​ ​can​ ​help​ ​you​ ​find​ ​out​ ​about​ ​the​ ​status​ ​of​ ​an​ ​iPhone.

The status check will also reveal whether the iPhone has been locked in any other way, for
instance, if it is carrier-locked. However, with this eBook, we will focus specifically on the
iCloud​ ​lock.

The​ ​IMEI​ ​Check​ ​Process

If you are a refurbished or pre-owned iPhone shopper, you also need to save yourself the
grief of ending up with an iCloud locked iPhone by performing an IMEI check. It makes
sense to carry out this check before buying any Apple device, particularly if you will not meet
with​ ​the​ ​seller​ ​to​ ​complete​ ​the​ ​transaction.

Ask the seller for the phone’s IMEI number, and if they are upright, they will not have any
