The tumpong (also inci among
the Maranao) is a type 1.) Tumpong Instrument of Philippine bamboo flute used by the Maguindanaon, half the size of the largest bamboo flute, . the palendag. Among the wind instruments are the kalaleng (Tinggian flute), bansik Zambales (Zambales Negrito flute), lantuy (Visayan bamboo clarinet), tulali (Sulod flute), sahunay (Tausug flute), diwdiw-es (Abra- Tinggian panpipe), nose flutes called baliing (Apayao) or kipanaw (Abra Tinggian) (Mangyan flute). 3.) A Faglong is a Philippine two-
stringed, fretted boat-lute. It is four to six feet long with nine frets made of hardened beeswax. The instrument is carved out of solid softwood such as Maguindanao from the jackfruit tree. The kutiyapi, or kudyapi, is
a Philippine two-stringed, fretted boat-lute. It is the only stringed Maranao People instrument among the Palawano people, and one of several among other groups such as the Maranao and Manobo. It is four to six feet long with nine frets made of hardened beeswax. The instrument is carved out of solid soft wood such as that from the jackfruit tree. 5.) Sahunay Instrument . is a bamboo flute, leaving six holes for the fingers and trumpet made of coconut leaf. Tausug People It is about 50 cm long and 3 (Sulu) cm in diameter. This is a bamboo flute of the Tausugs in Sulu.
