Standard Offshore Aids to
Navigation System
Tideland offers world-class offshore platform
products made to withstand the harshest of
environments. Our offshore platform systems
comply with the latest IALA Recommendation
O-139 on the Marking of Man-Made Offshore
Structures and include the option of a 15NM
navigational light, which is often required by
regional authorities.

For USA waters, Tideland offshore platform


systems are fully compliant with US Coast
Guard requirements for Class A, B and C
structures.

Tideland products are certified to NEC, Class


I, Division 2, ATEX Category 2 (Zone 1) and 3,
and IECEx where applicable.

Light Station - Zone 1


Suitable to provide 15NM main and 10NM standby, extensively used in the North
Sea. Suitable for use in Zone 1 areas and certified to IECEx.

Individual Lights - Zone 1 Self-contained Lights - NEC


For those areas where only 5 or Complete with its own solar
10NM is required, Tideland has a power and battery system, no
range of lanterns. All are suitable for external power is required.

Fog Signals - Zone 1 and NEC


A selection of 2NM fog signals are available for both Zone 1 and NEC,
Class I, Division 2. Zone 1 units also have the option of a 0.5NM back-up
system.
Unitised System - NEC
Unitised systems are especially suited for the Gulf of Mexico. Available in Class A, B and C and spe-
cifically designed for the USCG regulations. All units are approved and are available in NEC, Class
I, Division 2. These completely self contained units can easily be positioned on a platform without
additional equipment or wiring.

AIS & Remote Monitoring


Many platform systems are now guarded by an Automatic Identification System (AIS).
AIS transmits vital information about the platform and location to all AIS equipped
vessels within the area. In addition AIS can also be used for remote monitoring and
can accompany our Satellite, GSM and VHF monitoring systems.

e-NavLINK SCADA System


e-NavLINK is a world class monitoring system that provides users with
evidence of regulatory compliance and safety of their important aids to
navigation. Important warnings and alarms can be sent via text or email and
historical reports can be extracted. The system user interface is provided via a
web browser.
CAP 437 CIRCLE-H & HELIDECK SYSTEM

CIRCLE-H
Helicopter deck signalisation lighting has now taken off into a new direction with the
Tideland CIRCLE-H Lighting System. Throughout the industry, it is now fully agreed and
accepted that the old method of illuminating the TD/PM Circle and H with flood lights
results in the common dangerous problem of creating the disorientating “black hole”
effect and at the same time being a source of glare to the helicopter pilots. Developed
with close guidance from the CAA, and certified by the HCA, and in full accordance with
the requirements of CAP 437, Tideland’s CIRCLE-H TD/PM Lighting System provides the
optimum solution to these problems and years of trouble free use.

Wind Sock
The ILED Aquarius Illuminated Windsock provides pilots with an indication of the wind
direction as required by international regulations. These regulations require the presence
of at least one windsock, which, if the helideck is intended for use at night, must be
illuminated.

Helideck Lighting
Tideland has a full range of helideck lighting systems including perimeter lighting, floodlights and control panels. In
addition, status (wave off light) light systems are available including repeater lights.
