Tracker initialization

V1.1

1 Initialize unit via Configuration cable

Connect to computer through Configuration cable to set IP address, Port, APN.


Step:
 Connect the configuration cable’s 2*4 port to the GP6000’s port B, USB to computer’s USB Port.
 Please find the “Configuration cable driver.exe” in CD,and double click this file to install driver of this cable.
 Right click “My computer” on your desktop, and click the “Properties” ,find the device manager.
 Check the COM port number in the device manager window.
 Please download the “FastSetting.exe” from the CD in packing box
 Running the “fastsetting.exe” software
 Input the COM port number that connecting the computer
 Checking the baud is 9600,click the “open com” to open the com port

Note:
You can get the COM port number from the device manger in your operation system.
and it’s named “Prolific USB-to-Serial COM port”
 Click the “Get unit id”if the connection is successful you may look at below:

 Input the related parameter , then press: “set” Button.; click “read” button to check current setup;
For example:
Service center number : 15017935112 (your cell phone number)
the alert message will reply to this cell phone when you set it.
if your tracker is connected with our server, please contact with us.

If your SIM card’s APN do not exist username and password,it’s no need to set APN account.

 After finish these settings, GP6000 can upload data to server through GPRS

2 Initialize unit via SMS

if you haven’t the RS232 cable,you can initialize unit via SMS.
Step 1:
Use a cell phone to Send S03 command to the SIM card which you inserted into the GP6000.
For example:
(6291010001,2,S03,129,1,your cell phone number)

6291010001 is the tracker’s terminal ID.

15017935112 is your cell phone number

13700417143 is the SIM card which you inserted into the GP6000.

If you sent the command successfully, you will receive like: (6291010001,2,S03,129,15017935112)

Step 2:
Use your cell phone to Send S02 command to set up the APN, Server IP, and port.
For example
(6291010001,2,S02,129,1,121.32.121.222,12000,APN)

6291010001 is the tracker’s terminal ID.

121.32.121.222 is the static IP address of the server.if your tracker connect with our server,please contact with us.

12000 is TCP port.

CMNET is the APN name in china.

If successfully, you will receive: like: (6291010001,2,S03,129,121.32.121.222:12000,CMNET,0)

Connect it with the China server and start data transfer by GPRS. APN is an example.Please check your local
APN's name. and take care that the capital letter if they has.

Step 3:
Use your cell phone to Send S24 command to set up the GPRS APN’s username and password.
If your SIM card’s APN do not exist username and password,it’s no need to send this command.
For example:
(6291010001,2,S24,129,1,username,password)

If successfully, you will receive: like: (6291010001,2,S24,129,username,password)

NOTE:
each command should be edit exactly the same as the picture, no more space, exactly the same bracket,etc..
