2.E AND H FIELDS DUE TO CHARGE AND CURRENT DISTRIBUTIONS

1 A uniform volume charge of 25 nC/m3 exists from -2 < X < 2 for all Y and Z .
Calculate the E at (5, 0,5) and the Origin.
2. Calculate the E intensity at (2,2,0) due to a line charge of L = 20nC/m on the positive Z axis only.
3. A sphere whose radius is 0.5 m contains a charge density of V = (5-2r) µC/m3. Find D at distance of
10m away from the centre of sphere.
4. An infinite length line charge of L = 100nC/m lies on the entire Z axis . Calculate the flux crossing the
surface Y =2 , -2 < X <2, and -2 < Z <2.

towards the direction of (3,1,6) by 5 µm.

3.An infinite sheet of charge density s = 36 nC/ m2 exists at X=2 , all Y and Z. Calculate the Potential at
i) (4,6,12) with reference to (8,12,2) ii) origin if the sheet is at 100V due to the charge.
iii) (-1, 3,5) with reference to (5,3,5)

4. A logarithmic decreasing Voltage function in one dimension of X has 50V and 100V at (1,3,4) and
(0.5,2,2). Calculate the Potential at the point (2, 5,6).
