The principal of San Pablo City Science Integrated High School wrote to the officer-in-charge of CHR IV-A to request a meeting to discuss a possible partnership for their Humanities and Social Sciences students to undergo an 80-hour Work Immersion Program at the CHR office starting in November. As part of the Senior High School curriculum, work immersion aims to provide students experience in an authentic work environment and apply their competencies. The principal believes the students would benefit from this opportunity and hopes CHR IV-A can accommodate some or all of the students.

Dear Atty. Guevarra:

Warm greetings from San Pablo City Science Integrated High School!

Work immersion, as the key feature of the Senior High School Curriculum as stated in the
DepEd Order 30, s. 2017, aims to enable students to become familiar with the workplace,
experience workplace simulation and apply their competencies in areas of
specialization/applied subjects in authentic work environment.

DepEd moreover hopes that partner institutions will provide learners with work immersion
opportunities, workplace or hands-on experience, and additional learning resources through
partnership building.

I firmly believe that our HUMSS (Humanities and Social Sciences) students will be able to
experience workplace simulation and apply their competencies if they are given the chance
to undergo the Work Immersion Program (WIP) for 80 hours in your office.

In this connection may I request an audience with you to discuss about the possible
partnership regarding the WIP of our HUMSS students? We are going to send them out to
our partner institutions starting November of this year. And I am hoping that CHR IV-A could
accommodate some (if not all) of them.
