Course Description: This course is specifically designed for the students as a preparation in their new
Math General Education subject Mathematics in the Modern World on the next semester. This course
can gain a thorough understanding and knowledge of advanced topics in algebra. All students will be
actively engaged in problem solving, reasoning, connecting and communicating mathematically as they
study the following topics: Linear Equations, Inequalities, graphs, Matrices, Polynomials, Radical
expressions, Quadratic Equations, Functions, Exponential, Logarithmic expression, Progressions,
Sequences, Series, Permutation and Combination.
General Objectives:
1. Algebraically perform operations with matrices, rational expressions and function.
2. Perform certain problems in real life situation.
3. Develop Critical thinking skills in solving problems which can be apply in real life situation
