Evaluation Geologist Work

The document outlines the daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities of an evaluation geologist. Daily responsibilities include updating drilling data, reconciling core and log data, preparing sample lists, and sending samples to the lab. Weekly responsibilities include compiling a report with drilling statistics, updating the Minex database with new drilling data, and cross-checking seam correlations. Monthly responsibilities include preparing coal intercept and drilling statistics reports and Minex data for the resource team.

EVALUATION GEOLOGIST WORK

A. Daily Check

1. Update Daily DDR for Weekly Report

- Check daily DDR
- Change format DDR to Weekly Format
- Fill Intercept coal from Reconcile to Weekly Format
- Make sure Total Depth, Depth Log and Sublock are correct
- Make sure that true thickness multiply are correct for different Sub block
- Make a decision to get the Latest Hole Completed for Weekly Statistic

2. Core Summary and Reconcile Data

- Core Summary before Sampling
 Check for correct adjustment between Core, Geophysical Log and Final Adjustment.
 Check for parting and make a decision, Parting are stand alone sample or combine sample
 Core (Coal) minimum for Sampling are 30cm thick
 Parting minimum become stand alone sample are 10cm. If there are parting 9 -10cm MS, we can
sample it (become stand alone sample) but if Parting are Shaly or Coaly, we can combine it with Coal
 Make sure that the Hole have Completed Analysis (Exploration = Use Top and Bottom Coal) or
Limited Analysis (Infill = Coal)
 Get the correct Sample Coal

- Reconcile Data from Geos

 Check for Correlation using manual (Logging Data) or Minex Model
 Naming Seam from Correlation
 Check Core Summary (adjustment) must have same intercept on reconcile
 Make sure intercept coal used are from Final Adjustment
 Check for BOW, Log Basis, Depth Log, Run and Etc
 Make sure that Pilot Hole have coal thickness almost same as the Coring thickness
 Check reconcile for other Lithology
 Get final reconciled data and input it by Admin Database

3. Sample List Before and After Labelling

- Sample List before Labelling
 Check sample list with core summary from final adjustment intercept
 Cross check from reconciled data (make sure that sample list intercept coal have same data as
reconciled intercept)
 Cross check Lithology and parting data from reconciled data
 Numbering ID sample
 Sent the sample list to Project Geos

- Sample List after Labelling and Weight Measured

 Check labeling ID Sample
 Check for Weight sample (Usually coal have more weight than Roof or Floor Rock)
 Make request for analysis method
 Completed Analysis
 Top Coal = Proximate Analysis, Ash, TS, CV
 Coal = TM, Proximate, TS, CV, RD, HGI
 Bottom Coal = Proximate Analysis, Ash, TS, CV
 Limited Analysis
 Coal = TM, Proximate, TS, CV, RD, Na(Na2O), AFT Reducing
 EQM for each induvial seam, represent all working area
 Ash analysis

 Parting request analysis are = Ash, TS, CV

 Sent Sample to Sucofindo Lab
B. Weekly Check

1. Weekly Report Form

- Separate holes become Completed, Redrill and Pilot Hole
 Completed (Representative hole for statistic depth)
 Coring Hole (after pilot hole if any) in single location or
 Deepest Coring Hole (if any redrill coring hole)
 Grid pattern Open hole, but not as Pilot Hole
 Redrill/Failed (Unrepresentative hole for statistic depth)
 Failed hole (Geoph unlogged) or
 Shallower (redrill) coring hole compared to other coring hole in single location
 Pilot Hole
 Open Hole used as guide for Coring Hole in single location
- Get summary from Completed, Pilot Hole and Redrill
- Make a statistic drilling for a week and get the latest meter of drilling
- Send data intercept Coal to Supt.Exploration and Statistic data to Sr.Database

2. Minex Upadating Data

- Request MDB data for a Week (Access Database) to Sr.Database or Computing Geos
- Split MDB data into :
 Collar Data (From MDB to Excel with CSV format)
 Geology Data (From MDB to Excel with CSV format)
 Assay Data (From MDB to Excel with CSV format)
 Las Data still in the MDB data
 Copy Hole ID to Note Pad and save as Collar.dat
- Back up data Minex B31 until B35S and make a copy of it
- Load Collar (X, Y, Z, Final Depth, Azimuth, Dip, Type Hole)
- Load Sample Data
 Load Geology Data (Seamcode and Lithcode) with CSV format
 Load Assay Data (All assay are required) with CSV format
 Load Las Data (GR, LD, SD) with MDB format
- Check for Correlation and make a section Mount
- Naming Seam Layer
- Export new hole seam name into *.A33
- Sent to Sr.Resources Geos

3. A33 Cross Check from Sr.Resources Geos

- Get the Latest Model from Sr.Resources Geos
- Input Seam Layer Interval (A33) with Append processing
- Check Seam Name from the latest Correlation and Section

C. Monthly Check

1. Monthly Format
- Prepare intercept coal for monthly
- Prepare Statistic Monthly from weekly data
- Make a decision last hole that use for monthly
- Sent to Sr.Database or Computing Geos

2. Minex Data
- Prepare section for monthly (usually in the active area of Exploration)
- Prepare for Seam Outcrop Map
- Sent to Sr.Database or Computing Geos
