ZXSDR R8862A Hardware Description
External View
There are two optical interfaces in the ZXSDR R8862A: OPT1 and OPT2, supporting LC
type optical interfaces. This external view of the optical fiber is used as a connecting cable
between the RRU and a BBU, see Figure 3-5.
Figure 3-5 Optical Fiber Cables
Connection
When the optical fiber is used as a connecting cable between the RRU and a BBU, one
end of the fiber is connected to the OPT1 interface of the ZXSDR R8862A while the other
end is connected to the optical connector of the BBU.
When the optical fiber is used for RRU cascading, one end of the fiber is connected to the
OPT2 interface of the upper-layer ZXSDR R8862A while the other end is connected to the
OPT1 interface of the lower-layer RRU.
3.6 AISG/MON Interface Cable
Function
The AISG/MON interface cable supplies power for a remote electrical tilt antenna and
provides the RS485 control interface. The AISG/MON interface is at the bottom of the
ZXSDR R8862A chassis.
External View
Figure 3-6 shows an external view of the AISG/MON interface cable.

4.1 Junction Box
Function
For the DC power equipment far from the ZXSDR R8862A, the DC power cable with a
cross-sectional area of 2 × 10 mm2 is used to reduce voltage drop. The ZXSDR R8862A
uses a DC power cable with a cross-sectional area of 2 × 4 mm2 or 2 × 6 mm2. Therefore,
when the remote DC power equipment is connected to the ZXSDR R8862A, a junction box
is used for cable diameter conversion.
