Dear Parents,
We would like to invite applications from our students to register for the International
Finance Olympiad!

International Finance Olympiad is an initiative of Economictimes.com & IIFM Ltd. to make


young learners familiar about the need and art of managing money. It is expected that gradually the
adolescents shall inculcate the habit of analysing finance in their day to day life, shall strive for
savings and shall also invest their available resources to multiply their worth so that they have
comfortable resources for their future endeavours.

DPS East Bangalore was among the 6 schools from various regions across India who qualified for
the Grand Finale which was held at Delhi on 8th February 2018 and bagged the 1st Runner Up prize
and trophy.

Details of the competition:


1) Students of classes 8th to 12th can register for this competition.
2) One time registration fee applicable is INR 850/- (by cash) for the entire competition of
2019-20.
3) Enrolled Students will receive the following:
 Study material which will include 3 books based on financial concepts and
workbook.
 Access to an Online Learning Portal wherein a student can access supplementary
content, practice questions, take sample tests for practice and know their progress.
4) There will be 3 rounds of competition as follows:
 School Round (In the school premises) – 11th October, 2019
Duration- 45 min, Pattern – MCQ based
 Regional Round (In Bangalore, Exact Venue to be declared later) – Nov/Dec
2019
Duration – 90 min, Pattern – MCQ based + Audio-Visual Rounds
 Grand Finale (In New Delhi) (All the travelling, boarding and lodging expenses
will be borne by IFO Association for the finalists) – Jan – Feb 2020
Duration – 150 min, Pattern – On stage oral quiz
5) Certificates to be received at each stage of the competition.
6) Compete to Win INR 2,00,000 cash Scholarship at Regional & National Level.
7) Winning teams of Grand Finale will be awarded with scholarship worth INR 1.6 lakhs.
8) The competition is running from the last 6 years in India & the Middle East.
Registration Details:
 Students can register their names by remitting the registration fee to their respective
class teachers.
 Last date for registration is 1st July, 2019
