Load Flow Analysis Example Go To "File" New Project Chose A Location To Save Your Project and Give A Name To The Project As Follows
And press ok
Give a user name to the next page appearing page and press OK
You will get two pages. One is the Project Manager Window and the other is a blank window
which we used to draw the power system. Following are the two windows. Adjust them as you
required.
Click on the “Show grid lines” button and “Check circuit continuity” button. Those buttons are
indicated below.
Draw the power system using the components in the right-hand side panel. Click the particular
icon and bring the mouse pointer on top of the white window and click again to place it. Icons are
indicated in following figure in red color rectangles.
After placing the component on the white window you will get the uncompleted design as follows
and change the position of the equipments if necessary.
Connect the Components by clicking on the terminal of a particular equipment and dragging the
mouse pointer to the next equipment. After you connect the each equipment to the power grid it
will be highlighted.
Double click on the transformer and click on the rating tab.
For primary give the value as 13.8 and for secondary give the value as 4.16. Set the Rate MVA
as 10. After you enter the value 10 as rated MVA and out from the Rated MVA box e-tap will
automatically set the Full load amps. Then press OK.
Double click the power grid icon and go the rating page. You will see that the rated kV is set to
13.8 kV automatically. Then double click on the motor. Click on the Nameplate icon. Rated
voltage is automatically set. Set the HP rating to 500 as indicated below and click OK. Once you
step out from the HP rating box e-tap will automatically set the other values.
Then the load flow analysis can be done. First click the load flow icon and then click on the click
the Run Load Flow icon.
