8. Course Synopsis:

This course is designed to introduce to the students determinants of human behaviour in


the organisational/work settings. As employees are one of the important resources for an
organisation, understanding the factors their functional (such as productivity) and
dysfunctional behaviour assumes immense importance. Major topics included in this
course are: values, personality, perception, learning, emotion, attitude, and motivation as
individual determinants of organisational behaviour. The group and organisational
determinants include: decision making processes, team dynamics, communication,
leadership, power and politics, and organisational change.
