Roles & Responsibilities-
Job Description:
 In charge for sourcing and procurement of material for projects as per
Tender/Design specification/ BOM in coordination with Sales, Engineering
and Project execution departments for domestic and international projects.
 Scheduling for procurement of project bought out materials.
 Floating enquires to potential vendors and responsible for commercial and
technical evaluation of quotation as per specification and releasing orders.
 Responsible for commercial negotiation of quotations & establishment of
Annual rate contracts with suppliers.
 Co-ordinating & monitoring with vendor timely delivery of materials.
 Certifying the suppliers invoice for dispatch, parking the invoice in ERP.
 Planning & procuring the materials for company’s global requirements.
 Vendor development activities, evaluation of existing vendors.
 Conversant with all domestic taxation rules for purchase and sales.
 Resolve of customer complaints by co-ordinating with vendors and with the
project department.
 Co-ordination with external inspection agency and transportation department
for inspection & dispatch of materials.

Detail Roles & Responsibilities:


Factory Purchase:
In this dept. procurement team will be procuring the material required for
internal production of Turbine.
I had worked with this team for 5.3 years and with below roles &
responsibilities
 ‘A’ class items like Oil Cooler, Oil Filter, Pumps, Valves, Lube Oil Console,
Governors, Actuators & ‘C’ class items like Turbine insulation & coupling
guard.
- Floating enquires to approved suppliers & coordinating with Engineering &
supplier for technical approval
- Commercial finalization for Non standard items & also responsible for
establishing Annual rate contract.
- Placement of order in line with delivery requirement.
- Planning the delivery requirements as per monthly production plan
- Coordinating & monitoring with vendor for delivery of above materials as
per our delivery requirement.
- Coordinating with external inspection agency/internal QA department for
inspection of material.
- Issuing dispatch clearance, certifying supplier invoice & parking invoice
through SAP.
- Coordinating with accounts department for release of on-time payment
- Resolving customer complaints by coordinating with suppliers & internal
servicing & projects department
- Monitoring inventory by coordinating with suppliers & stores department
for on-time delivery with minimum inventory.
- Vendor development & evaluating suppliers myself or coordinating with
external agency.
- Collection of E1 forms from supplier & issuing C forms in coordination with
Accounts department for direct bought out item for site.
- Coordinating with service dept. for erection & commissioning help for the
bought outs supplied to site.

- Special Job assigned:


 Part of Vendor development & product development team of lube oil
system, plate type & Shell & tube oil Cooler for project requirement.
 Executed/Procured in house capital requirements as per company
requirements
