Responsibilities:
• Installation, Testing, Commissioning and O&M of 3.4 MW Waukesha 16V275GL+, EDG 650
KW CAT3508 ,1 MW EDG D3512, Gas Generator 965 KW CAT3516, 1MW GE Jenbacher JGS
320 Power Generators, M.V and L.V Switchgears, MCC, Rectifier units, UPS, Motors
&Controls, step up and Step down transformers (testing on site as well), Soft starters, VFDs in
accordance with international standards.

• Preparing and analyzing tender /bidding documents in terms of PPRA guidelines, IEEE, IEC,
NFPA 70, API, ANSI, NEMA codes and standards.

• Supervision of Modification of Switchgear and MCC works.

• Attend to witness system FAT in supplier shop and SAT during pre-commissioning.

• Troubleshoot and analyze complex electrical systems failure, including medium and low voltage
switchgears, motor control centers, large motors, transformers, UPS, and DC charger systems.

• Analyze system performance and find solutions for saving power/energy.

• Ensure quality, cost-effective, and timely solutions to any upgrade.

• Technical Assistance to Maintenance team on machinery configuration and performance.

• Supervise electrical installations in accordance to HSE rules and procedures, in accordance to

project documentation and project schedule.

• Witness the conditions of material on arrival at site, especially for supplied loose parts that
require conditioned warehousing.

• Supervise all aspects of Maintenance work including monitoring schedules, planned maintenance,
and downtime and shutdown maintenance.

• Manage shift handovers and prioritize the team’s workloads.

• Preventive, Predictive and Corrective maintenance of above.

• Planning regarding inventory and ATA of electrical equipment’s.

• Assist in the training, developing, and mentoring of other team members.

Responsibilities:
• Installation, testing and commissioning of Power Generators, MV& LV Switchgears, MCC
Panels, Transformers, Fire Alarm system, Lightning & Earthing system, L.V Power & Control
cable installation, M.V & H.T Power Cables, M.V and LV motors , Building Management
System, UPS system, ATS Panels, etc

• Engineering review of Design drawings, Technical submittals and shop drawings prior to
submission to Client according to project standards and specifications.

• Review project specifications and work procedures to ensure EPC contractor’s inspection, testing
and procedural are in compliance and aligned with Client’s requirements.

• Perform quality audit and to verify work activities are in accordance with the approved Project
Quality Plan.

• Attend to Witness and Hold point inspections of approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Review project specifications and work procedures to ensure EPC contractor’s inspection, testing
and procedural are in compliance and aligned with Client’s requirements.

• Perform quality audit and to verify work activities are in accordance with the approved Project
Quality Plan.

• Regular review and update on status of quality issues.

• Report non-conformities and disposition follow-up on corrective actions.

• Monitor and surveillance of cables and cable tray routing, installation and terminations to
junction boxes and panels are in compliance with the applicable codes and standards.

• Monitor and verify through surveillance of EPC contractor work in electrical and instrument
equipment installation, hook-up, loop checking and functional testing are in compliance with the
technical requirements for the project.

• Monitor to ensure Contractor’s documentation is compiled progressively as required and of

acceptable quality.
• Provide technical advice in project technical meetings on resolution of quality/construction
related issues.

• Follow up any technical query by Contractors.

• Witness to all test as per quality plan (insulation tests, calibrations tests, etc)

• Witness the run in of electrical motors.

• Review design packages for electrical systems and equipment (i.e. motors, generators,
switchgear, distribution network, power outlets etc.) including drawings, detail scope of work,
Bill of Material / Quantity and preliminary cost estimates.

• Perform all associated electrical calculations, equipment sizing, cable sizing, AC & DC UPS
systems, transformers, lighting, impressed, etc.

• Coordinates and stay informed regarding contractor’s erection activities and is responsible in
assessment of electrical erection progress on site.

• Ensures Contractor works according to quality assurance program/procedures

• Participates in specialist meetings regarding electrical erection

• Inform the contactor regarding any project design changes and their influence on the electrical
erection.
