Development of Water Supply Sources (CENG – 6401)
The course aims at establishing an understanding of the occurrence, location,
development and protection of water sources that would enable in identifying
appropriate water supply sources mainly for domestic/public and industrial demands.
It also explains factors to be considered when developing water supply sources.
Topics include water demand, sources of water; development of surface water sources;
catchment protection; development and protection of ground water sources- water well
design and construction; emergency water supply, alternative water supply sources.
