Schlumberger Production Logging Tool Program

1. The document outlines the steps to perform a PLT (Production Logging Tool) test on a well to determine the total production and zonal contribution of each perforated interval. 2. The steps include preparing the well by testing it, checking safety equipment, calibrating tools, and holding a safety meeting. 3. The PLT tool would then be run in the well while it is shut-in and flowing to collect data, and stationary stops would be made at each perforated zone to analyze production.

Objective:
Perform PLT to get the total production and zonal contribution of every perforated interval.

Outline:

1. Get a representative test for the well before the job.

2. R/U W/L lubr. & press. test to max. Shut-in press., Gauge the well as per Gupco procedure.
3. R/U Schlumberger RIH with PLT- tool.
4. Perform the Shut-in passes up and down.
5. Open the well, put on test, and wait for stabilization.
6. Perform the flowing passes up and down.
7. Perform stationary stops as per program.
8. Take three wellhead samples for analysis.
9. POOH and R/D Schlumberger lubricator.

Before the job is scheduled in the 14-day plan, please complete the following:

O/P checklist (preparation):

1. Perform the well checklist and GOS well Hand over Certificate and fix any problem to keep the well ready
for work. (Total equipment is required if H2S above 10 PPM).

2. Risk assessment and Permit to Work are required before proceed the job.

3. Make sure there is a pressure gauge with proper range is available.3-

4. Check the proper installation points for Mast Guy wires

5. O/P should test the well and collect wellhead sample for W.C% before proceeding with the job.
6. Risk assessment, Permit to Work, W/L checklist, and Well Handover Certificate are required before
proceed the job.
7. Check safety equipment available, work vest, life jacket, inflatable raft, ring buoy and ropes.
8. Check the X-tree valves for leaking and stuck. Make sure that the Cap is working OK. In addition, the
Header production and test valves should be OK. (PSS should make this survey).
9. Measure the delta pressure across the flow line to be sure the flow line is free from scale.
10. Make sure that the P/F is clean and not slippery.
11. Collect wellhead sample from the well for chloride and water cut.
12. Check the last reading for H2S value. If it is above 10 PPM, TOTAL should be ready before starting
the job.
13. Check the X-tree height and the availability of ladder to R/U the equipment.
14. O/P should prepare ½” HP hose for pressure testing.
15. O/P should have tested the well before proceeding with the job.
16. O/P should help for stabilization the well by increasing the gas on the well or put the well on a
test line lonely or adjust the chemical on HPG line to reduce the emulsion on the well.
17. O/P should have tested the well during the stabilization period to get a representative test for
the well
18. Pressure gauge with proper ranges available with fitting to connect gauges.

Service company checklist:

1. Check the QC of all sensor that will be used (GR-CCL, Gradio, Press., Temp., and Spinner)
2. Check the data acquisition program and the battery are working OK.
3. It should be an auxiliary cord that connecting the SONDX box to the reel back drum.
4. All the service personnel should have the PPE for safety.

Field checklist and Procedure:

1. Hold a pre-job safety meeting, clarify job procedure, and ensure every one is clear on his
responsibilities. Any information and change in the procedure should be through the Dist Eng
witness.
2. R/U W/L lubricator on the X-tree, then pressure test the lubricator to 1200 Psi against swab valve
as GUPCO R/U procedure.
3. Shut-in both the gas line header and gas wing valves, and close both the production line header
and wing valves.
4. R/U xxx MPL tools, open the swab valve, and then RIH.
5. While the well is shut-in perform five shut-in passes (UP and DOWN) with different constant
cable speed (i.e. 30, 60, 80, 100, 120 Ft/Min) from above all perforation by +50` to top of sand.
6. Stop above all interval by +50` @????` THF.
7. Open the well to production by opening both the gas line header and gas wing valves, and open
both the production line header and wing valves slowly.
8. Switch the well to test line for testing, and monitor the surface data until stabilization occurs.
9. After stabilization period and while the well on production, perform five flowing passes (UP and
DOWN) from above all perforation by +50` to top of sand.
10. Perform stationary stops above and below every perforated intervals and inside long intervals as
shown in the table.

11. Shut-in both the gas line header and gas wing valves, and close both the production line header
and wing valves.
12. POOH with xxx MPLT.
13. When the tools at surface, close the swab valve and bleed the lubricator pressure.
14. R/D both xxx MPL tools and W/L lubricator.

After completing the Job:

1. Check spinner condition and rotation.

2. Unload the well carefully to the production by opening both the gas line header and gas wing valves, and
open both the production line header and wing valves slowly.
3. Three wellhead samples should be collected.

Service Company Logs Quality:

1. Make a good correlation of the production log to the OHL.

2. Scale of the data drew on the log should be optimized depending on the data available.
3. Stationary stops data sheet should have its Min., Max., and Mean values for all sensors data at every
station.
4. Put remarks on the log if there is any abnormal phenomena.
