23rd Commencement Exercises – MC Script

Pre-program The San Agustin National High School Commencement Exercises are about to begin. We expect the
Commencement Exercises to last approximately 3 hours so before we begin this ceremony, let me remind
everyone to please turn off your phones or put them on silent modes. Please also be courteous around
you by refraining from talking aloud. And during the presentation of graduates, we encourage you to
express your pride by applauding and cheering for them.

This event will start in __ minutes…


Introduction I Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Graduation day is always a day of rejoicing for it marks the
conclusion of an educational journey and the commencement of another more uncertain and more
difficult part of man’s quest for a better life and future. Truly, today signifies the culmination of the many
years of hard work in the relentless pursuit of knowledge: knowledge that will enable a person to embrace
opportunities and take on challenges with clear vision and purpose. Friends, welcome to the 23rd
Commencement Exercises of San Agustin National High School.
Processional With so much cheer, let us laud the graduands as they march towards the venue in their processional.
Students Entrance At this time, let us welcome the Candidates for Graduation for School Year 2018-2019. This batch is
composed of four strands, namely: the Accountancy, Business, and Management Strand; the Humanities
and Social Sciences Strand; the Home Economics Strand; and the Information and Communications
Technology Strand.
Teacher & Guest Let us also welcome the San Agustin National High School faculty, alongside our guests for today. We

Singing of Hymns The 23rd Commencement Exercises of San Agustin National High School is now in order. May I request
everyone to please all rise for the singing of the National, Provincial and Municipal Hymns to be conducted
by Ma Stella Q. Revilla, With Honors from the HE Strand.
Invocation Please remain standing for the invocation to be led by Jessa M. Amodia, With Honors from the ABM
Strand.

Introductions I Members of the graduating class, honored guests, PTA Board of Directors, faculty and staff, students,
family, alumni and friends – good morning! First and foremost, thank you to the members of the
Commencement Committee who spent many long hours planning this day and to the many others who
have helped to organize and plan this commencement exercises. Your efforts are well appreciated.
Welcome Remarks It’s always a pleasure to have family and friends gathered together for an event, especially on this
momentous Second Senior High School graduation. Welcoming you here for today’s event is especially
meaningful as we honor our graduates and celebrate their achievements. To formally welcome us all, may
I call on Judy Ann R. Balde, With Honors from the ABM Strand for her welcome remarks.

Thank you for that warm welcoming Judy Ann!


Presentation of Commencement also provides an opportunity to recognize San Agustin National High School’s
Candidates for outstanding faculty and staff –who are dedicated to providing the highest quality education and to making
Graduation a positive difference in the lives of our students. May I request the members of the faculty and staff to
please rise. [Pause] Ladies and Gentlemen, please join me in saluting our faculty with a round of applause.

Once again, thank you to the San Agustin NHS faculty and staff.

Completing the required 2480 hours was never a hindrance for the 148 students to pursue in completing
the academic and work immersion requirements of their respective chosen strands. And now, here they
are, with smiles on their faces, very excited to get their diplomas. So without further-a-do, may I call on
Mr. Nilo P. Samputon, the School Principal to present the candidates for graduation to Mr. Lope S. Hubac,
who is representing Dr. Nimfa D. Bongo, our Schools Division Superintendent.

Sir Nilo: By virtue of authority in me vested as the School Principal of San Agustin National High School, I
have the honor to present the 148 candidates for graduation broken down as follows:
Accountancy, Business, and Management- 28
Humanities and Social Sciences- 10
Home Economics- 84
Information and Communications Technology- 26

Confirmation of Sir Lope: By virtue of authority extended to me by the Schools Division Superintendent of Bohol, Dr. Nimfa
Graduates D. Bongo as her representative, I am confirming that the 148 candidates to be the official graduates of
San Agustin National High School for School Year 2018-2019. Congratulations!

How about another round of applause to our new graduates, the Batch 2019 of San Agustin National High
School?

Distribution of Dear graduates the moment you have been waiting for has finally come. The fruit of hard work and
Diplomas discipline will finally be reaped. You will now be receiving your prized diploma, a symbol of
accomplishment.

May I request Mr. Lope S. Hubac, to hand over the diplomas to our graduates to be assisted by
Mr. Nilo P. Samputon, Dr. Peregrita J. Datahan, Mrs. Marilyn P. Suarez, and Ms. Allen Mae D. Bitasolo.
May I also request the members of the faculty to line up before stage to personally congratulate the
graduates after they’ve received their respective diplomas.

ready to take on life challenges ahead. Once again, congratulations graduates.
Words of Gratitude To express the gratitude of batch 2019, may I call on Mary Joy S. Celades, with high honors from the HE
Strand and the Class Valedictorian. A big hand please.

Parent Response The batch 2019 graduates would have not reached this far, if not because of the people beside them. At
this point, let us hear a response from the parent of our class valedictorian, ladies and gentlemen, with a
round of applause, please help me welcome, Mrs. Rosita S. Celades.

Thank Mrs. Celades for such an awe-inspiring response to your daughter’s words of gratitude.
Tribute to Parents At this point, the graduates would wish to take this opportunity through singing an originally composed
Song song to pay tribute to you parents/guardians for the unending love and support to the graduates.

Pledge of Loyalty Prayer to be led by Madel T. Bernante, with Honors from the ABM Strand; Pledge of Loyalty to be led by
Alumni Pledge Kim C. Abico, with Honors from the ABM Strand; and the Alumni Pledge to be officiated by Mrs. Sheony
S. Lopez, Alumna.

Graduation Song Music is the expression of the soul. It moves emotions and feels with the movement of time. Through a
song that emphasizes that there is strength in unity and camaraderie, let us hear the graduates sing their
graduation song. Composed by Matthew Gerrard and Robbie Nevil; and performed by Zac Efron, Vanessa
Hudgins, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu, and Monique Coleman, let us take pride in witnessing
the graduates as they sing “High School Musical” with Graduate Venna Marie M. Remperas, with Honors
from the ABM Strand, leading.
Acknowledgment & To formally close today’s event, may I call on the PTA President for School Year 2018-19, he is no other
Closing Remarks than Mr. Precioso C. Lagapa, Jr. for his acknowledgement and closing remarks.

Recessional There you have it ladies and gentlemen, the program has been formally closed and on behalf of the San
Agustin National High School administration, faculty and staff, congratulations to our batch 2019
