Banilan Elementary School conducted a film showing on fire prevention for 144 students and teachers in observance of Fire Prevention Month. Before watching the film, the SDRRM coordinator asked students questions about preventing fires by avoiding combustible materials, not opening gas tanks, and not plugging in appliances unsupervised. Through this activity, students learned how to prevent fires and disseminate safety information to their families. The film showing was an effective way for students and teachers to gain knowledge on fire prevention.

FIRE PREVENTION MONTH NARRATIVE REPORT


In line with the observance of Fire prevention Month with the theme: “Ligtas na Pilipinas Ating
kamtin, Bawat Pamilya ay Sanayin, Kaalaman sa Sunog ay Palawakin” Banilan Elementary School
conducted Film Showing in order to inform each learner on how to prevent fire, save lives and be free
from any damages whenever there is a conflagration.

Pupils from Kinder to Grade six including teachers are the partiipants in film showing activity.
SDRRM coordinator ask some questions on how to prevent fire before the film showing take place.
Pupils were actively gave their opinions on how to prevent fire like avoid playing any combustible
materials such as matches and lighter, do not open the gas tank and don’t plug in any appliances
because it is not safe to a young children like them. Through this, everybody must be aware of and they
will disseminate it to their family, friends, and neighbors.

Certainly, the film showing on Fire Prevention was effectively completed with the genuine
interest and cooperation of the pupils and teachers to learn about it.
