A new development in downtown Dubai (CBD) has the master plan shown. The authority requires the use of the Dubai
Trip Generation manual for calculations of generated trips for the zones described in the table below.

Land Use / Zone Information


Villas / B 350 Villas
School / C 110,000 m2
Hotel / D 44,000 m2
Commercial / E 76,000 m2
Hospital / G 119,000 m2
Offices / O 229,562 m2

Assume:
 GLA = 85% of GFA
 70 m2 per hospital bed
 50 m2 per hotel room
 30 m2 per student

Calculate the trips generated in and out of each zone for the morning, noon (midday), and evening periods. Provide
your answers in a table.
