Introduction
The U-13-M2 Ford Traffic 3000/4000 tool designed for automatic unlocking
the Ford Traffic 3000/4000 with IIC service interface. The Ford Reset tool
U-13-M2 will reset car radio to the “CODE----“ prompt when the car radio is
displaying “LOCKED 10” or “LOCKED 13” message

U-13-M2 kit included two LEDs (green and red), two push button
switches, two power connectors, one service interface connector

Control components meaning:

Activity LED…….. Ready/Activity LED is lit/blinking displays operations


in progress or when it’s finished. GREEN colour

Service LED……… Service LED is lit/blinking displays operation in


progress or when it’s finished. In additional displays service modes after
entering service mode**. RED colour
• NOTE ** Service mode is designed for self testing U-13-M2

STR button……….. START BUTTON starts the target car radio receive
service sequence

ARST button…….. AVR RESET button resets the main AVR device
when pushed

Installing Hardware

Operation
Step 1: Connect power supply source, U-13-M2 tool and target radio
with accordance to Figure 4 and Figure 5

Step 2: Turn ON power supply source (set DC voltage 13.8-14 volts).


Wait ~3-4 seconds for settle time. Activity LED will lit green after
simultaneously blinking with Service LED for a little while.
From now you should see message in the display “LOCKED 13”

Step 3: Press STR button. Service LED will blink 9 times then
Activity and Service LEDs become flashing first one by second one

Step 4: Make sure, that car radio display “CODE - - -” in the LCD display

WARNING!

ONCE UNLOCKED, the radio will permit a further 13


attempts for code entering, but when second 13_th
attempts is used the radio will display “LOCK FOREVER”
and can never be unlocked next time
