What Is The Greatest Trick in Mathematics?: Answer

The greatest trick in mathematics is making people think you can read their minds. The document describes three mind reading tricks: 1) Have a person pick a random number, perform a series of math operations on it that always equal 5, then reveal you correctly guessed their number was 5. 2) Similar to the first trick, but the final answer is always the "x" number they were told to add in the middle of the operations. 3) Tricks to accurately guess a person's age and birth month/date by having them follow steps involving basic math operations related to their date of birth. The tricks aim to amaze people by appearing to reveal numbers they were secretly thinking through predictable

Trick 1: This is super cool trick I am going to share, you can read mind and amaze your friends.

Start by telling your friend that you will write down a number on a piece of paper and hide it, or
give it to the other person without showing them.

Always write the number 5 on your paper.

Ask the other person to think of a number between 1 and 100.

Tell them to multiply it by 4.

Add 12.

Multiply it by 2.

Add 16.

Divide it by 8.

Finally subtract it by the original number (the one they thought of).Now get them to tell you their
answer, which will always be 5.Get them to reveal the answer on your piece of paper. They’ll
think you are a mind reader.

Source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/...

Let’s give a try. Take number 50. Multiply by 4 equal to 200. Adding 12 and multiply by 2 we
get 424. Adding 16 and divide by 8 equal to 55. And finally subtract 50 and get 5 WOW.

One more time, Take 7.(7∗4)+12∗2=80(7∗4)+12∗2=80

. Now, (80+16)/8=12(80+16)/8=12. Then, 12−7=512−7=5

 I also have another trick which gives different number and this is quite easy and amazing
also because you can try at your one friend many times as the answer always different.
But you are the one who know it.

This time tell your friend to choose a number between 1 to 100.

Then multiply by 2 then add (x) and divide by 2. Then subtract the number what they originally
think. And the answer is always (x/2).

Check attempt 1: The number is 52. 52∗2=10452∗2=104

Now add (x) take it 16. 104+16=120104+16=120. Now, (120/2)−52=8(120/2)−52=8

Check attempt 2:Take number 52 again but x will be 50. 52∗2=10452∗2=104

Now, 104+50=154104+50=154. Now, (154/2)=77(154/2)=77 now subtract 52,

77−52=2577−52=25

Your friend’s mind will be blown.

Trick 2: You can guess anyone’s age without asking what is his real age. Just tell them to follow
these steps.

 Step 1 - Pick any number from 1 and 10

 Step 2 - Multiply your chosen number by 2
 Step 3 - Add 5 to your total
 Step 4 - Multiply your new total by 50.
 Step 5 - If you have already had your birthday this year, Add 1767
 Step 6 - If you haven’t had, Add 1766
 Step 7 - Now, the final step, Subtract from your total the year in which you were born,
(E.G, Minus 1998).

Now, they with a three digit number. The first number will be the number they choose at the
beginning and the remaining two numbers are their age.

Note:- This will only work in 2017. If you want it to work in 2018 you will have to change the
step 5 and step 6. In step 5, Instead of 1767, you’ll add 1768 and in step 6, you’ll add 1766.

Lets try it, I am choosing 5. Multiplied by 2 and add 5 equal to 15. Now multiply by 50 equal to
750. Adding 1766 as my birthday hadn’t passed this year, so it is equal to 2516. Now,
subtracting my birth year 2516 -1998 = 518. Yes, I am 18 and I have chosen 5. Now go and
amaze your friend and blow their mind.

Trick 3: You can also guess birth month and date. Just tell your friends to follow these steps.

 Step 1 - Ask them to multiply their birth month by 7.

 Step 2 - Subtract 1, then multiply by 13, then add the day of birth.
 Step 3 - Add 3, then multiply by 11.
 Step 4 - Subtract the month of birth. Then subtract the day of birth. Then divide by 10,
then add 11.
 Step 5 - Divide by 100.

The first digit, before the decimal, is the birth month. The digits after the decimal are the day.
Let’s check it, my birth month and day is 21st September.

First multiplying birth month by 7 equal to 63. Then, (63- 1 )*13 + 21 = 827. Now, (827 + 3) *
11 = 9130. Now, [(9130 - 9 - 21) / 10] + 11 = 921. Now dividing by 100 we get 9.21. Which is
my birth month and date.

You!
