Lesson Reflection 1

On October 17th, the teacher delivered her first observed lesson on subtracting 4-digit numbers with regrouping. She modeled examples for the students and had some come to the board to solve problems. This engaged the students in learning the new material. The teacher also reviewed the previous lesson to help students connect the new content. By the end of the lesson, students showed they understood by solving additional subtraction problems independently. For future lessons, the teacher plans to have students practice alternative subtraction methods.

Lesson reflection 1

On 17 of October, it was the first time that my MCT observed me. I prepared
myself before a day, such as a lesson plan, activities and the materials that I
will use for my lesson. My lesson’s about the subtraction of 4-digit number
with regrouping. In this lesson, I try my best to make the lesson like a game,
in the same time I want them to understand the lesson and how they subtract
four digit numbers also to check their answer if it's correct or not by
regrouping. Firstly, I model some equations in front of the students and then I
let some of the students to come and solve it on the board. This way is to
make my student engaged during the lesson.
Moreover, I always start my lesson by reviewing the last lesson that they took
and connected to the new lesson and I think when I used this strategy with
them, they understand quickly and they can link the previous lesson to the
new lesson. On the other hand, I achieved my learning outcomes for this
lesson by asking them about what they have learned in this lesson and let
them solve some subtract equations on a small sticky note and paste it on the
board. Finally, for the future when I will teach this lesson again, I will allow
the student to find another solving for subtraction of 4-digit number.
