Cisco Canvas

This document outlines questions to guide the development of a prototype to solve a problem. It asks about defining the problem through data collection, understanding affected people and their needs, developing a solution, and measuring the solution's success through defined actions and timelines. Responsibilities for tasks and use of data and resources are also addressed. It considers alternative scenarios through "what if" questions about partnerships, scale, and simplification.

Which Actions do you have to do to finish the prototype action

on time? People you met who have faced the problem what if…
Who is responsible for each task? Who are they? you had 200 volunteers to develop the solution?
how can your solution be stronger and more innovative.
What are their characteristics? … you had a free/paid version of your concept?
How does the user discover the solution?
What are their concerns and needs? … a ministry became your partner?
How does the user use the solution?
What interactions do they have with their environment? …. your concept was 1000 times more powerful?
What are the interactions ( process and people) ?
What resources/tools (things, data) do I need? … your concept were understandable without any explanation?
The situation you witnessed
What happens after using solution?
Which situations did you observe the problem?
Who was affected?
What impressed you?

What are the causes of this issue?

what would be your ideal prototype? Define the actions that will show that your prototype is succeded?
from who do you collect the data?
what would the real prototype look like? What kind of information/data do you need to better understand the problem? When are you going to meassure those actions?
who receives the data? Who uses the data?
Think about the material, time and skills you have right now What data is necessary to solve the problem?
who is the final beneficiary of your solution?
at your disposal to build it! What data do you need to collect to solve the problem?

How do you transform the data to solve the problem? How do you collect the data needed? Through what things?
Which interface do you use to reach the final user? What kind of things could improve the user experience, make
your solution easier to use/understand? Which ways can you imagine to share your project?
How can the users access to your prototype?
What if…
…NASA would like to solve the problem?
…. you had Bill Gates as an investor?
…. you set up a partnership with apple, google, samsung or Cisco?
… it came from another planet.
… you made it simpler, reduced to only one main functionality?
