ArcGIS Online provides a robust web map viewer you can use to quickly créate web maps

The Himalayas run west-northvvest to east-southeast, m an are 2,400 küometers

(1,500 miles) long. It is home to Mount Everest, the planet's highest peak at 8,848 m (29,029 ft).
To get a better sense of the íand cover, yon will change the basemap.
Ihe web map viewer displays a basemap showing a topographic map of the world. To
ivigate the map, use standard mouse pointer operations. (This is probably already intuitive.)

Adding data to overlay an ArcGIS Online basemap is the same as adding data to any ArcMap
map document. You will next add several layers to the map to see hoív each one is displayed and
then explore the different zoom levéis of the map.

9. Glose the Layer Properties dialog box. On the Standard toolbar, click the Add
Data button. Browse to C:\EsriPress\GTKArcGlS\Chapter05\Data, and add
