Assignment and Project

(Financial Management)

• Form groups of 4 students in each group. Assign a group number followed by the division. CRs
are requested to finalize the groups. The spreadsheet of groups with following details should
reach me by 15/9/18 (EOD).
o Division
o Group Number
o Names of the students in the group
• Last date of submission is Sep 25 2018 for both, assignment and project. (No possibility of
extension in the last dates).
• Two separate word files should be made for assignment and project.
• Both, assignment and project report should be submitted in soft copy only with the following
“subject line”.
o <Division> <Group Number>

Assignment

• Visit a stock-broker in Pune.


• Request him to show how the trading of shares are done online.
• Specify in the assignment the name of the broker visited, along with their contact details.
• Write a details report on following heads.
o Your experience of Visiting a broker and learning online share trading.
o Make a flow chart on how the whole process of online share trading takes place
starting from opening up of the trading and demat accounts till the settlement of
shares in the demat account and payment paid or received in your bank account.
o Elaborate the flow chart with brief details.

Project

• Plan for a business venture (a start-up) of initial-investment not more than 50 Lakh.
• Visit some place in the similar business line in Pune or nearby areas (provide the detailed list of
places along with name and phone number contact person whom you visited).
• Use Capital Budgeting (CB) to confirm the financial viability of your project. You may tweak the
details, plans to ensure financial viability.
• Submit a details financial viability report to explain all the details in the report including
quantitative parts.
