Video course

COURSE OUTLINE

This course of Equipment Design is planned in such a manner so as


to give chemical engineering graduates the up-to-date knowledge for
NPTEL

industries. It will assist the engineer in examining and analyzing a
problem, and finding a design method and mechanical specifications
to accomplish a particular process objective.
Chemical
This course does not develop or derive theoretical equations; instead,
i t provides direct application of sound theory to applied equations

useful in the immediate design efforts. It emphasizes to provide
knowledge about design principles of heat and mass transfer
equipment used in chemical plants. It also aims to impart knowledge
about IS Codes used in the mechanical design of chemical Coordinators:
engineering equipments.
