Embeded Depth of Pole Foundation Site Mozambique Method 1: Rule of Thumb Method

This document summarizes five different methods for calculating the embedded depth of a pole foundation in Mozambique. Method 1 uses a rule of thumb and provides a depth of 4.625 feet. Method 2 uses the Russian (RUS) method and provides a depth of 2 meters. Method 3 uses Broms method and provides a depth of 2.3 meters. Method 4 uses Hansen's method and provides a depth of 16 feet. Method 5 uses Indian Standards which provides a depth of 1.333 meters. It also provides calculations for wind loads and bending moments on the pole to check if the foundation design is safe.
