● Stands for Electronic Learning
● Sometimes described as “online learning” or “virtual learning”
● First introduced into vocabulary in 1999

Through the use the internet, e-learning can be applied through:
● Interactive platforms
● Online forums (open or closed)
● Pre-recorded lectures/classes)
● Asynchronous and synchronous activities
Why is E-learning used?
It makes no sense to expect all students to take the
same amount of time to achieve the same
objectives

● Convenient
