Issue
Windows XP SP2 has been known to be problematic with OPC servers. Windows DCOM security can limit access to the ION
Enterprise OPC data access server.
An OPC client can connect to ION Enterprise when installed on the same computer, but when installed on a remote machine it is
unable to connect. The user may receive the error opcenum does not exist. The OPC tags are not browsable on the client.

Cause
Windows XP SP2 is known to be problematic for distributed OPC. By default the DCOM settings do not allow information to be
viewed remotely.
Resolution
To establish a client OPC connection to an ION Enterprise OPC server on Windows XP perform the following steps:
