OBSERVATION FOCUS
A) LESSON STRUCTURE:
Teacher deliver a well structured lesson, where it based on students’
capability to understand and answer the content. It based from students
prior knowledge. The teacher ask students’ to recall their past lesson where
it stimulate critical thinking.
B) TEACHING ACTIVITIES:

All the activities involve to make sure the students’ participation. The
students’ participate freely without any hesitation, and can see more
students are putting up their hands to answer the questions posed by the
teacher.
C) MATERIAL USE:
The teacher used, Picture puzzle , Summary cards, Pyramid template as the
main medium to transfer the content. The teacher more consider about
students interest and needs, as can see the teacher will ask the students
“ which colour you want” it shows that the teacher give freedom to
students to choose their preferable colour paper to do the group work.
D) TEACHER FEEDBACK:
Teacher appraise and giving feedback in positive ways by saying
“ Good”.It will make sure more students’ involvement, it is because
students really want them to be appreciated, a small and simple saying
“ Thanks” “ Good” will make them to feel pleasant.
E) TEACHER QUESTION:
Teacher pose some questions based on students’ capability. It shows that
the teacher understand the students level and need. So that, many students
are participating freely and confidently throughout the lesson.
F) CLASSROOM INTERACTION:
As I said earlier, teacher understand students level, interest and their need.
So that all the material used, the questions, lesson objectives and teaching
activities are all based on the criteria( level,interest and need).
So that so many students are participating and some even don’t have the
chance to answer. It involve two way interaction. ( teacher-student), where
teacher ask students questions or ask to do the activities and students
complete their assignning work by teacher guidance and at last teacher
elicit and evaluate students answer.

G) SUBJECT MATTER KNOWLEDGE:
Teacher understand the subject requirement well. So that teacher prepared
the material, lesson on that can meet the lesson objective on time. Teacher
made sure to wrap up the lesson on time. By knowing the allocation of
time, teacher plan the activities that simple but that can made sure students
understanding.
Teacher also because of this reason, divide the students into small groups
so that the lesson can deliver without pause. A real qualified teacher only
can do this, occupied the time successfully , able to grasp the students
attention, prepare lesson that suit students prior knowledge and interest.
H) CLARITY OF EXPLANATION:
Teacher explain the content clearly, to made sure students understanding.
Teacher giving ample example to make students not get confused. Teacher
also guiding them by groups, so that students won’t feel left from the
activities. They will appreciate the teacher, because this way will ensure
them to think that the teacher take special care to explain to them.
I) CLARITY OF INSTRUCTION:
Teacher explain the subject in clear way. Teacher use simple words when
instruct them. So that the students can understand what the teacher instruct
them to do. Students are participating by putting up their hands, this
evidence shows that students’ understand the instruction clearly.
Teacher also giving them the chance to answer the question by calling
their name. some teachers can’t remember few students names. By this,
students will think that they are important person in the class so that the
teacher can remember their name. so that it make sure students guiding /
discuss to their peers in the groups .
J) DISCUSSION/ CONCLUSION:
Teacher was observed based on 5 main criteria ( content organization,
presentation, use of media, individual style and instructional material). It
was a good lesson that motivate and encourage students participation.
Teacher used a proper teaching activities that can meet subject objectives.
Teacher design the activities and questions based on the students level to
make them participate. Time management, teacher well managed the time
by grouping up the students into few groups to make them to involve
throughout the activities. There have one criteria that have to be improve,
like usage of media to deliver the lesson.
K) REFLECTION( OBSERVER):
Overall teacher well carry out the lesson. Teacher put a good effort to
deliver the lesson effectively and to meet the lesson objective. Teacher

consider some criteria to make the classroom activities look more lively,
such as( time allocation, students interest, their background, their
classroom size, the teacher knowledge about the content, the feedback,
strategy to make students be quiet and listen to teacher instruction,
material that really suit the students interest and needs.)
