The document discusses abrasive placement configurations for polishing plates used on different machine types, listing the maximum peripheral speed for each configuration which includes basic, inner and outer wheel, or just outer wheel placements. It notes the basic configuration allows half the plate to protrude for excellent edge finishing and other configurations can be used depending on material and abrasive type.

The basic configuration enables approximately half of the plate to protrude from the edge
of the slabs to achieve an excellent peripheral finish. Depending on the type and width
of the machined material and the type of abrasive, 6 abrasives fitted on the outer wheel
and none on the inner wheel or 3 abrasives on the outer wheel and 3 on the inner wheel
can be used to polish.
