This study aimed to determine factors affecting the track choice of Grade 10 students at SGPNHS for the 2016-2017 school year. The researcher found that most respondents were female, living in Calayo. Students reported difficulty choosing tracks and being influenced most by themselves. Science and history most interested students. Most planned to pursue academic tracks and preferred cookery in TLE classes. The researcher concluded students found track choice challenging and made decisions independently of family. Science and history engaged students most, and academic tracks attracted more interest than other options. Cookery proved most popular in TLE specializations.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents the summary, findings, conclusions and

recommendations of the study.

Summary

This study aimed to determine the factors affecting the track choice of

Grade 10 students if SGPNHS for the S. Y. 2016-2017.

More specifically the researcher sought answer to the following questions:

1. What is the profile if the respondents according to:

a. Age b. Gender c. Address

2. What are factors affecting the track choice of Grade 10 students?

3. What are the interests if Grade 10 students?

4. What are the reasons why students are finding it hard to choose their own

track?

The researchers used the descriptive research in conducting this study.

Base on the result, out if 30 respondents, 20 are female and 10 are male. And

out of 30 respondents, 4 are living in Calayo, 17 are living in Balaytigue 2 are

living in Natipuan and 7 are living in Tali.

Summary of Findings

1. Students find it hard to choose their own track.

2. Most students are influenced by themselves in deciding.

3. Science and History are the subjects that interest the most of the students.

4. Academic track is more likely to pursue by the students after they finished

Grade 10.

5. Most of the students undergo in cookery.

Conclusion

Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were draw.

1. Students take choosing a career a challenge because they find it hard.

2. Aside from family, they are the one who decide on their chosen track.

3. Science and History are the subjects that Grade 10 students are good in.

4. Students are more interested in academic track than in other track.

5. Of all the specialization in TLE, cookery is what the students are more

engrossed in.

Recommendation

1. Students should choose what they really want and not what others dictate

them to take.

2. Students should consider their previous teachers' advice.

3. Students should consult their family first and ask their opinion before deciding.

4. Students should do a research on how to choose a right career path.

5. Students should think wise before deciding.
